If you're new to GOT7's YuGyeom, here is some basic information about him. He was born on November 17, 1997, and has always been destined to be a star. GOT7's YuGyeom is all you've ever needed in life. Of course, we all need things like oxygen and more to survive, but one look at YuGyeom might make you forget about that tiny detail and feel totally at peace with life. To cover the basics, he's a dreamy heartthrob with a personality of gold.
To get more into his history as an artist... He was on the Mnet show "WIN: Who Is Next?" in 2013, showing off his dance skills before debuting.
YuGyeom then debuted as the main dancer and as a vocalist of GOT7 in 2014.
He's the maknae of GOT7, but many confuse him as the oldest - mainly because of his mature visuals and focused personality. However, Ahgase (iGOT7 - GOT7's fandom) know that YuGyeom has that special dose of aegyo hidden inside of him. It's clearly apparent in his random expressions and silly antics!
When it comes to dancing, YuGyeom has the grooviest and sexiest energy. His moves just seem to glide through the air and he puts the right amount of power into knife-like precise moves in a way that can't help but captivate the viewer. Dancing is one of his truest passions and you can tell by the amount of hours that he has dedicated to it throughout his career. This is why he has gained so much recognition as one of the best dancers in the third generation of K-Pop, even going on shows like Mnet's "Hit The Stage" to further solidify that title. In fact, he won the whole thing with choreography that he came up with himself!
Speaking of choreography, he has contributed to a fair share of GOT7's group choreographies throughout their career, too.
He is a king when it comes to special dance technics like popping and isolation. However, he can also pull off fluid movements, given the musical style.

As a result of his dedication to dance, YuGyeom has even been recognized on an international stage by global artists and his role models alike. He takes being a successful fan to a new level!
On top of that, YuGyeom's not only an artist of dance, but a visual artist and an artist of fame - he's also got the vocals to complete his K-Pop package.
He has a bright vocal tone that is extremely rare to find in the industry. Not to mention that he has an affinity for R&B singing and key parts in any song genre, including hitting high notes.

YuGyeom's affinity for R&B-styled singing can be best heard in his releases as part of the sub-unit JUS2 alongside fellow member Jay B, and in his solo music currently. Check below for two must-listen songs by YuGyeom that show off the angelic nature of his voice.
YuGyeom suits all genres of music but there is something magical about how he sounds when he performs a genre that is especially near and dear to him. Since joining AOMG in 2021, YuGyeom has truly come into his own as a musical artist who excels in performing. It's a new side of him that many Ahgase may only have seen in snippets before, but it's so so beautiful to see him continuously enjoying performing and developing his own artistic identity.
On top of his visuals, we can't leave out his stunning visuals.
YuGyeom's signature point is the tiny beauty mark right underneath his left eye. It's clearly visible but tiny enough to make you have to focus on his beautiful face. Not to mention that YuGyeom's collarbone and neckline are so sharp that his visuals are cutting through our hearts.
If you combine these features with his other bold features, his tall height, and fit physique - YuGyeom's visuals never cease to impress.

Despite his first impression, which might appear intimidating to some... YuGyeom's personality has been described as a breath of fresh air by fans.
YuGyeom has one of the most easygoing personalities that you will ever see. That's actually part of the reason that he falls into the 'maknae-on-top' line in K-Pop. He's always jokingly taking the hits from his hyungs but is not afraid to hit them back if need be. Thanks to his maknae status, he gets spoiled a lot by the other GOT7 members, though. They just love him too much, but so do we - so we get it!
This is only possible because of how close they are. Don't be mistaken. YuGyeom is extremely humble and respectful. He is quite soft-hearted to the point that those around him always feel the need to protect him. He is extremely compassionate, too.
His labelmates at AOMG often talk about how strong his mindset is and what a positive force he is to be around.
This just goes to show that YuGyeom is the embodiment of the phrase 'Get you a man who can do both'.
