Boy Crush Monday: Jackson of GOT7
Who’s Our BCM?
Jackson was born on March 28, 1994 in Hong Kong. Growing up under two athlete parents, Jackson’s initial career goal wasn’t K-Pop, but a professional fencing athlete. But ever the talented rapper, singer and dancer who was always full of vibrant energy, his eyes soon turned to becoming a K-Pop star. During high school, he was recruited into JYP Entertainment, where he trained for two and a half years in order to debut as a member of GOT7.
Why We Crush
For one thing, Jackson is the master of overcoming tough challenges. Basically, he moved to a different country that spoke a different language, had a different culture, and different set of behavioral expectations. Jackson’s outgoing and hyper-active personality was first a culture shock to many of the native Koreans. However, Jackson soon won over the public’s heart with his smooth suave and his entertaining talk. He mastered the Korean language in record time and has since been appearing on multiple variety shows. Talk about inspiration!
Where We’ve Seen Him
Besides the blatant fact that Jackson is one of the most popular members of GOT7, you’ve probably seen him from various variety shows. Most notably, he appeared on SBS’s “Roomate”, where he showcased an adorable chemistry with Heo YoungJi. Most recently, Jackson was chosen to appear on the Chuseok pilot special of “Flower Boy Bromance”. There he showed just how much his energetic vibe allowed him to become friends with some of the hottest idols. His two best friends, JuHeon from MONSTA X and Ahn HyoSeob, came to surprise him with gifts and love.
Where We’ll See Him Next
Great news for the IGOT7s, because you’ll be seeing much more of Jackson in the upcoming weeks. JYP Entertainment has been busy teasing the group’s comeback for the past week. With individual teasers and spoilers out on the web, it’ll only be a matter of seconds before Jackson is back on stage. Throughout their promotions for their new mini-album, “HARD CARRY”, Jackson fans will be getting their hearts full of the idol real soon!
This week seems like the perfect week to be crushing on our man, Jackson. Don’t ya think?
