ENHYPEN is rising in popularity in the K-Pop scene after some hot comebacks. The group members include Sunoo, Ni-Ki, SungHoon, JungWon, HeeSeung, Jay, and Jake. After being active for only 6 months, this group is shocking the K-Pop wave by getting millions of streams and followers already.
But who is ENHYPEN? Find out some of the reasons why they are popular in this article. ENHYPEN is also known for having charismatic group members. 1. Quick learner and natural performer
Jake only trained as a K-Pop idol for 9 months before joining the survival show “I-LAND.” Even HYBE Corporation and Big Hit Music CEO Bang SiHyuk complimented the speed at which he improved his performance for one of the “I-LAND” stages. It’s a wonder that, despite his short training period, Jake finished the show in 3rd place. He’s clearly a natural-born performer.

2. He has a bright fortune
DKDKTV asked a fortune teller what she sees in the ENHYPEN members. She quickly recognized that Jake is the intelligent quiet type who mostly observes his surroundings. She also pegged that he does things at his own pace and would make a great leader. She commented on his physiognomy saying that his distinct pupils show his potential for rapid growth.
3. He's multi-talented
Not only is he exceedingly musically talented, but Jake has a world of other things that he's good at, too. Jake was a striker in his representative school soccer league and managed to get into a team of grade 12s as the only grade 10. He was also in the top percentile of his math class. Jake has been multi-talented his whole life, and it definitely translates into his K-Pop career now. It shows you that no matter what he puts his mind to, he can do well.

4. Violinist pulling ENGENE's heartstrings
Back in the day, Jake was in his school orchestra as a violinist. Recently he hasn't been practicing the violin as much due to chasing his dream of becoming an idol, but fans have even dreamed about a stage where Jake will play the violin and ENHYPEN member SungHoon will ice skate to the accompaniment. Imagine how magical that performance would be.

5. Puppy love
Jake is the most adorable when talking about his dog Layla. His whole face lights up at the mention of her name. He claims that they have similar personalities and that even though they don't look alike, the corners of her mouth are similar to his. What do you think? Jake has mentioned that his favorite feature on his face, which he thinks is his most charming trait, is the corners of his mouth. He has unmatched confidence in them and ENGENE can't disagree.

7. Award-winning visuals
Recently, Jake has been nominated in the TC Candler’s “Faces of 2021.” TC Candler is an annual critic’s list of the 100 most beautiful faces of the year from all over the world. You can often find your favorite idols among this list of international celebrities. Jake is on the list amongst Korean celebrities such as Red Velvet’s Joy, BLACKPINK’s Jennie, and actor Hwang InYoup.
With Jake being recognized for his handsome face internationally, who can even deny his angel visuals? He may not have won yet, but the nomination in itself speaks volumes.

8. A grammar stickler, but you still love him
Jake is very particular about his grammar and how the people around him use grammar. He’s not afraid to correct you if you’ve said something wrong. Some of his fans have even joked about downloading grammar-checking apps just to be able to speak to him. However, he loves his fans nonetheless.

9. Destined to be loved by his fans
Although ENHYPEN's fandom name is ENGENE, during the filming of "I-LAND," a lot of members had individual fandoms. Jake’s sub-fandom is called Jakey. When Jake found out about the sub-fandom name, he was moved because it is actually his childhood nickname. What are the odds of that? He must’ve been destined to meet Jakey because everyone adores this pet name just as much as its namesake.

10. Always looking to improve
In ENHYPEN’s April 2021 monthly wrap-up, Jake shared that he believes no stage can be perfect. He said that an artist will always feel a little bit of regret about what they could’ve done better on stage, but that regret is what helps them improve. Jake said he always wants to perform as close to perfect as possible. Members acknowledged that Jake is a perfectionist and his hunger to do better on stage is what makes him cool.
Even if Jake doesn’t see it, he’s perfect in the eyes of ENGENE. We're looking forward to seeing what he's going to do with his never-ending talent in the future.
