K-Pop fandom names are not just random words that are jumbled up and thrown together at the last minute as fans and agencies think hard about not just naming the fandom but also giving significant meanings behind them as well.

You can check out eighteen fandom names and the meanings behind them below!

MIDZY (ITZY)

MIDZY, now that is a word that you don’t hear everyday. So what does it mean? In the Korean language, “믿지” (pronounced mid jee or in this case midzy) means to put trust in, or simply “trust” in the verb form.

I think it should be clearer that : SHINee World is named for being SHINee’s world. Literally meaning that Shawols are SHINee’s world, that they are the boy’s everything. It’s not just simply based on their album name, it has a meaning to it too.

BLIИK, because we are a part of BLΛƆKPIИK, we are one with BLΛƆKPIИK
We are the beginning and end of BLΛƆKPIИK and BLΛƆKPIИK is the beginning and end of BLIИK….we are one from the start till finish

I thought Blink meant that: “if we blink we’re gonna be sure to fall for the girls and be turned fans” or “dont blink or you’ll gonna miss how the girls will conquer the world and turn them into fans”
