The Financial Supervisory Service and National Pension recently revealed which K-Pop agency had the highest employee resignation rate in 2018.
The data revealed statistics and findings related to SM, YG, JYP, and Big Hit.
If you guessed YG Entertainment as the K-Pop agency with the highest employee resignation rate, you guessed correctly. Among the approximate three hundred and sixty employees that the agency has, one hundred and thirty eight of them resigned in 2018, translating to roughly 38% in terms of resignation rate fo that year.
Second in line with the highest resignation rate was SM Entertainment with a 29% rate. Of the four hundred and thirty one employees, one hundred and twenty six of them resigned in 2018.
Third in line was JYP entertainment, where thirty eight of their two hundred and fifteen employees resigned, leaving them with a 18% resignation rate in 2018.
And last but not least, Big Hit Entertainment had a 17% resignation rate, with twenty four employees out of one hundred and thirty eight employees resigned in 2018.
However, Big Hit Entertainment had the highest paying salaries for their employees out of all the agencies, with YG coming in second, SM in third, and JYP coming in last. The data below shows from average salary of all employees put together, and to the lowest and highest ranking employees from top to bottom. The very bottom shows the salaries of interns and new recruits.
