3 K-Pop Survival Shows To Look Forward To After The End Of "Produce X 101"

Mnet "Produce X 101" is going to end this coming Friday and after the season, some K-Pop fans may be wondering what others K-Pop survival programs are there to watch.

Kpopmap has compiled 3 more K-Pop related survival programs that will be airing some time around end of August or September. Let's find out what they are!

 

#1 Queedom

On early July, Mnet released the news that they will be launching a new format of K-Pop survival show. Called "Queendom", 6 already debuted K-Pop female group will gather and compete through a series of comebacks. The winning group will then have the title of being the 'Queen'.

Although not many details about the program is released, actress Lee DaHee appeared on the teaser clip of "Queendom". Many believe that she will be the MC for the show.

"Queendom" is estimated to air around the end of August.

 

#2 World Klass

Here is another audition program that you might be interested to check out!

Holding their hands together, Stone Music Entertainment as well as n.CH Entertainment will be leading "World Klass" with 20 trainees from Korea, Japan, China, the U.S., Australia, and so on.

The trainees will compete and the final 10 will form "TOO (Ten Oriented Orchestra)”. The word “TOO” carries the meaning of 10 boys’ aspiration to implement the orient values into western music.

#3 V-1

Aside from the generic audition programs you have seen so far, tvN is giving a tweak as they are aiming for a program that allows 24 debuted female K-Pop idols to participate.

Known as "V-1", the program will be mainly focusing on the vocal performances of all participants when deciding the winners. The show’s name roughly translates to “number one vocalist”.

The director of "V-1" shared that here has been too much emphasis on only visuals when it comes to female K-Pop idols and wanted to create a program where winners are chosen based on performance abilities as well.

Not much information about this program is released but it is expected to air sometime during the Chuseok holidays. You can also start voting for your favorite K-Pop female idols on their official website here.
