"Tomorrow" has been a hot topic amongst K-Drama fans for its interesting storyline and high-profile casting.

Starring Kim HeeSeon (as GuRyun), SF9’s RoWoon (Choi JunWoong), Lee SooHyuk (as Park JoongGil),  and Yoon JiOn (as Lim RyungKu), the drama tells the story of the jobseeker, Choi JunWoong, who fell into a coma and ended up as a member of the Special Crisis Management Team of the underworld.

"Tomorrow" is based on a webtoon of the same name by RaMa. You can read the webtoon (in Korean) here.

Although the webtoon and K-Drama are not exactly the same, none of the differences drastically change the story. However, you might find some of the differences interesting.

So, here is a randomly ordered list of 5 differences between the "Tomorrow" K-Drama and the webtoon.

Warning: This article contains spoilers for episodes 1-3 of the webtoon and episodes 1-4 of the K-Drama for "Tomorrow".

        1. The order of events

In the K-Drama, we see the story in chronological order starting with Choi JunWoong on his job-seeking journey, then seeing the accident on the bridge, and finally ending up in hospital.

Whereas, in the webtoon, we already start at the hospital scene where JunWoong is staring at his comatose body. The events leading up to that happen in a flashback format (excluding the actual interview and more).

        2. The interaction during the bridge scene

In the K-Drama, JunWoong's character gets involved with the unfortunate man in an attempt to save his life. That is their first interaction.

However, in the webtoon, JunWoong gets scolded by that man for being too loud as he was shouting/complaining about failing his job interview. He also tries to steal JunWoong's watch claiming to need the money to buy cigarettes. The two get into an altercation before the life-saving attempt.

        3. Lim RyungKu's presence in certain scenes

In the drama, it is established within the first episode that RyungKu always knocks off work on time. This means that he is often not around when certain things happen.

For example, in the webtoon, RyungKu is at the hospital when JunWoong 'wakes up'. Whereas, in the drama, he wasn't there because he had gone home already.

        4. JunWoong's family background and the reason he hasn't been able to get employed

In the K-Drama, JunWoong is depicted as someone who is just down on his luck when it comes to finding employment for a number of reasons. His family is also depicted as a regular family that consists of his mother, younger sister, and their late father who was a reporter. We only find this out in the 3rd episode.

Whereas, in the 2nd episode of the webtoon (still in the hospital), we find out that his family is different. In the webtoon, he was born with a golden spoon in his mouth (from a well-off family) and his family consists of a hospital manager father, a mother who is a judge, a prosecutor oldest sister, and a medical student older sister.

He also finds out that he was born into that kind of family because he saved his country in his past (third) life. Additionally, he finds out that the reason why, despite his family background, he is unable to find employment now is that he was a disloyal subject in 2 of his past lives.

        5. The frequency at which RyungKu picks his nose

It might be a silly difference, but it stands out quite a bit. You may have noticed that RyungKu's character picks his nose in the drama.

Well, in the webtoon, he does it ten times more frequently. It doesn't matter if he is in the middle of a conversation or saying something important, he picks his nose very often.

These are only a few of the differences that we've spotted.
