5 Reasons Why ZEROBASEONE’s Han YuJin Is The Ace Of 5th Gen Yeonhanam Idol

In the past, K-Pop boy groups usually targeted teenage school girls who were younger than them, and fans often addressed their idols as “oppa” (older brother). However, as more idols are debuting at a young age, K-Pop boy groups in recent years tend to present a pure and cute “yeonhanam” (little brother) image, which makes “noona” (older sister) fans swoon over their lovely personality and boyish charms. Rookie male K-pop idols always make the fans’ day by calling them ‘noona’ during fan sign events and live streams. 

Talking about popular yeonhanam idols these days, ZEROBASEONE’s Han YuJin is certainly on the top of the list. He captured the hearts of LipJ and Jeon SoMi, and made millions of star creators vote for him with his signature line “noona saranghaeyo” (I love you) during “Boys Planet”. After debuting as the maknae of ZEROBASEONE last year, he continued to make ZEROSE fall for his lovely teenage boy image, top-notch performance skills, and irresistible stage presence. 1. He is a cute maknae

Just like most of the maknaes in K-Pop groups, YuJin is a cutie-pie. His “noona saranghaeyo” remains one of the most legendary aegyo in K-Pop history. How can one not fall for his cute confession?

As an introvert, YuJin always gets shy after he does aegyo, which makes him even cuter. His shy smile after saying “noona, naegeohallae?” (would you be mine?) (0:18) just melts all noona’s hearts. Well, who would ever say no? 

YuJin’s teammates also adore him so much and often babysit him as if he is their son. In “IDOL 1N2D”, Park GunWook couldn’t hold back his smile and clapped for YuJin when the staff pulled him up from the water, and Sung HanBin asked YuJin to look at his camera to take photos of him (3:31). He is really pampered by his hyungs!

3. He is an all-rounder

Despite being the youngest in ZEROBASEONE, Han YuJin is an all-rounder with exceptional skills in dancing, rapping, and singing, as well as strong stage presence unmatched by his age. As the main dancer of the group, YuJin is known for his excellent body control. He performed a solo dance in “MAMA Awards 2024”, and his dance moves were so powerful and sharp. What’s more impressive was that he even choreographed the floor slide part of the dance. 

In the position battle round in “Boys Planet”, YuJin co-wrote the rap with Na Kamden and choreographed the first half of the dance break, which was praised by dance mentor Baek KooYoung. Different from his lovely appearance, YuJin has a deep and magnetic voice when he raps, and his rap flow is very dynamic and addictive.

YuJin took up the rap part in ‘Love Me Right’ special stage at “2024 SBS Gayodaejeon”. He does have the potential to become a low-tone rapper.

When it comes to singing, YuJin’s vocal tone is soft and clean. His voice is also very stable even when he is dancing to intense choreography.

This idol can sing, dance, rap, and even design choreography, and don’t forget that he is still not even an adult yet–ZEROSE can’t be more grateful to have such a multi-talented maknae! 

4. He is an ending fairy master

YuJin is a pro at doing ending fairy, and he can captivate audiences with different facial expressions and gestures.

When asked what he would like to achieve during ‘In Bloom’ promotion during an interview, he replied that he couldn’t imagine what would happen two and a half years later (when ZEROBASEONE’s contract is expected to end), so he would be with ZEROSE forever. 

YuJin also always sends sweet messages to ZEROSE on social media and Bubble. After ZEROBASEONE performed at “Inkigayo Live In Tokyo”, YuJin sent messages on Bubble in Japanese to thank ZEROSE in Japan for coming and giving them so much love, and promised that he would become a person who ZEROSE could take pride in. YuJin never takes the love he received from ZEROSE for granted, and always tries to return the love to them by working extra hard and communicating with them genuinely. This sweet boy truly deserves all the love from the universe!
