"Wedding Impossible" has finally reached its long-awaited end, closing out in spectacular fashion. Led by Jun JongSeo, Moon SangMin, Kim DoWan, and Bae YoonKyung, the lighthearted rom-com made the start of the week enjoyable and fun. Watching them grow as people and in their relationships served as a source of inspiration to all.

Summary: Yoon JiHo is a single woman who dreams of becoming the main scriptwriter for a hit drama. Nam SeHee is a single, IT-worker who owns a house but owes a large mortgage. After various happenings and pressures from outside sources, they decide to enter into a contract marriage.

Reasons To Watch: "Because This Is My First Life" is a classic marriage contract K-Drama. Although the two main leads accidentally enter into each other's lives, they form an unlikely bond that becomes even stronger with every new episode. They become sturdy pillars of support, causing them to realize just how much they mean to one another, leading to true love.

 

2. "Love In Contact"

Cast: Park MinYoung, Ko KyungPyo, Kim JaeYoung, and more

Summary: Choi SangEun works as a contract marriage specialist, helping her clients to live the perfect single life. She decides to close down her business, but this proves to be difficult, as one of her last clients, Jung JiHo, happens to fall in love with her. Then there's top star, Kang HaeJin, who also employs SangEun's services and vies for her affection.

Reasons To Watch: Piloted by the rom-com queen herself, "Love In Contract" is lighthearted right down to its core. While there are moments of pure sincerity and genuine affection, you can be certain that there will be various scenes filled with side-splitting laughter. You'll become completely immersed, eager to find out how Choi SangEun and Jung JiHo's relationship will progress, crossing over the line between contract marriage specialist and client.

 

3. "Business Proposal"

Cast: Ahn HyoSeop, Kim SeJeong, Kim MinGue, Seor InA, and more

Summary: Shin HaRi is an ordinary office worker. One day, she disguises herself and attends a blind date in place of her friend Jin YoungSeo, with the goal of being rejected. Come to find out, the man she's meeting is the CEO of HaRi's company, Kang TaeMu. Plans backfire when he calls the next day, asking for HaRi's hand in marriage.

Watch Because: Similar to "Wedding Impossible", Shin HaRi jumps through numerous hoops to ensure her secret identity remains just that — a secret. Watching her live a double life provides limitless excitement. But the drama gets better as TaeMu and HaRi realize their feelings for each other, eventually transforming into a true couple right in front of our eyes.

 

4. "Doona!"

Cast: Suzy, Yang SeJong, Kim DoWan, Park SeWan, Ha Young, and more

Summary: Lee DooNa is the main vocalist for idol group Dream Sweet. However, due to an accident, she has stepped away from the spotlight. Lee WonJun is a university student who just moved away from home and ended up at the same share house as DooNa. They meet and life is never quite the same for either of them.

Reasons To Watch: If you're a fan of second leads, you might want to check out "Doona!" which features Kim DoWan! He has much better luck in finding himself and someone to truly love here. Aside from the success of Kim DoWan's character, Suzy and Yang SeJong absolutely kill it. Their chemistry is sizzling and will have you binging through the series in an instant. If you start the series at night, beware, you might be in for an all-nighter if you do.

 

5. "My Lovely Liar"

Cast: Kim SoHyun, Hwang MinHyun, Seo JiHoon, Lee SiWoo, and more

Summary: Depicts the story of Mok SolHee, a woman who's cautious of others due to her ability to hear lies. She meets murder suspect, Kim DoHa, whom no one believes in. Their paths start to intertwine as they slowly learn more about one another and uncover the secrets that have remained hidden all these years.

Reasons To Watch: Just like "Doona!", no themes of contract marriage can be found in "My Lovely Liar". But in similar fashion to "Wedding Impossible", the main leads must navigate life together, slowly figuring out each other's various charms. They work through a mountainous pile of misunderstandings before they're finally able to be together, happy and in love.

There has been a wave of hype building around Netflix's "Doona!" that just came crashing down on audiences worldwide. As such, the K-Drama community were swept away by its rapid current and became completely immersed in the story from beginning to end. Horanggasinamu Hill Guest House

The share house in question is located in Gwangju, South Korea. It's actual name is Horanggasinamu Hill Guest House.

It's a multi-level guest house with a total of seven rooms — five rooms on the first floor and two VIP rooms on the second floor. It comes with multiple bathrooms, a kitchen, living room,  computer room, and so much more. You will have access to the rooftop, among other areas of the guest house. While towards the edge of Gwangju, it is still a prime location with various eateries, an art gallery, and so much more nearby.

You'll be able to tour the city and enjoy the same ambiance as did Lee DooNa and Lee WonJoon.

It tells the story of students of the country about to pass the CSAT who have been conscripted to fight an unidentified object for extra points.

PD Sung YongIl ("Class of Lies") and writer Lee NamKyu ("The Light In Your Eyes") was in charge of the production of the webdrama. Shin HyunSoo, Hwang SeIn, Ahn DoKyu, Kim SuGyeom, Kwon EunBin, and more are part of the cast. It is a TVING original.

The supernatural webtoon "Moving" (in Korean "무빙") by Kang Full was adapted into a drama. A supernatural story about high school students and their parents who keep secrets that others don't know.

The director Mo WanIl ("Misty" and "The World of the Married") was in charge of the production of the drama. Zo InSung, Han HyoJoo and Cha TaeHyun are part of the cast in this Disney+ drama.

3. "Bloodhounds" / Release Date: June 9, 2023

The thriller webtoon "Hunting Dogs" (in Korean "사냥개들") by JungChan was adapted into the drama "Bloodhounds." It tells the story of three men who got entangled with each other due to debt and their attempt to get out of it.

It is a Netflix Original drama with 8 episodes. Director Kim JuHwan (movies "Midnight Runners", "The Divine Fury") was in charge of the adaptation. Woo DoHwan, Lee SangYi, Park SungWoong, and Jung DaEun are part of the cast.

The webtoon "Delivery Knight" (in Korean "택배기사") by Lee YungYun was adapted into the Netflix drama "Black Knight". The story takes place in a dystopian future where the air pollution has become so serious that people only live out of delivery.

The BL webtoon "A Shoulder to Cry On" (in Korean "소년을위로해줘") by DongMul was adapted into a drama. Here is the summary: Due to TaeHyun's joke, DaYeol gets falsely accused of scandalously attacking him. Among the archers, DaYeol's athletic path is in danger. DaYeol asks TaeHyun to explain the truth; however, he discovers that he is getting swayed by him.

OMEGA X's JaeHan and YeChan are casted for the drama. The drama was planned to air in 2022 but finally was aired in 2023.

The webtoon "Death's Game" (in Korean: "이제 곧 죽습니다") by Lee WonSik and Ggulchan was adapted into a drama. The story revolves around YiJae Choi, a 31-year old job seeker who couldn't find a job for 5 years after graduating from college. 26. "Taxi Driver 2" /  Release Date: February 17, 2023

The webtoon "Deluxe Taxi" (in Korean "모범택시") (official English title "Red Cage") by Carlos and KeuKeu JaeJin was adapted into the drama "Taxi Driver" in 2021. SBS released a season 2 of the drama. It tells the story of a special taxi company Rainbow Transportation and their deluxe taxi driver Kim DoGi's complete acts of revenge on behalf of unfair victims.

Lee JeHoon, Esom, and Pyo YeJin are the lead actors of the season 1, but Esom is no longer acting in the season 2.

27. "D.P. 2" /  Release Date: July 28, 2023

The webtoon "D.P Dog Day" (In Korean "D.P 개의 날") by Kim BoTong was adapted into the Netflix Drama "D.P." on Netflix in 2021, and its season 2 was released this year. It is a story about JoonHo and HyoYeol, two members of the D.P. Arrest Team in charge of capturing army deserters, and the stories they learn about the deserters along the way.

In 2020, Netflix released the season 1 of "Sweet Home" based on the popular thriller horror webtoon "Sweet Home" (in Korean "스위트홈") by Carnby Kim and YoungChan Hwang. It tells the story of a loner high school student who lost his family and the bizarre and shocking things that happened to him in his new flat.

29. "The Uncanny Counter 2" / Release Date: July 29, 2023

The fantasy and thriller webtoon "Amazing Rumor" (in Korean "경이로운 소문") by JangYi was adapted into the drama named "The Uncanny Counter" in 2020, and its season 2 aired in 2023. It tells the story of evil spirits of the afterlives who come down to earth to have eternal life and the counters that are capturing them.

Kim SeJeong, Cho ByeongKyu, Yu JunSang, and Yeom HyeRan are the lead actors. The drama was broadcast on tvN, and is now available on Netflix.
