When a K-Drama goes viral, you see more than a multitude of fans gushing over the male and female leads. Because of this, K-Drama actors specifically are almost revered by the K-Drama community. Masterfully edited TikTok video compilations of the male— and female— lead’s best scenes get popular, and more people wish to watch K-Dramas, and the cycle continues.
While we have touched on the successes of K-Drama actresses across different age groups, we have yet to discuss the kings in the reputable industry. The 30s age group is exceptionally popular for having a large number of K-Drama actors with a massive fanbase. So for now, we’ll elaborate on 6 successful K-Drama actors in their 30s, from Ji ChangWook to Park SeoJoon.
1. Choi WooShik

An adorable and lovable actor like Choi WooSik deserves to be discussed, no? Being Korean-Canadian as he is, he has bagged numerous roles that have been so impactful or funny. His characterisation in “The Witch”, “Parasite”, “Train to Busan” and “Our Beloved Summer” to mention a few have been so beautifully embodied and executed. Each different character in these dramas had very diverse personalities, and Choi WooSik was still very much able to deliver, showing just how versatile he is. That truly is talent people.

2. Ji ChangWook

If anyone had seen “Healer” and other of Ji ChangWook’s dramas from the early 2010s, you’d know just how much people have come to adore the actor. Since then, Ji ChangWook continued to capture fans’ hearts with his roles in dramas such as “The K2”, “Suspicious Partner”, “Lovestruck in the City” to the recent “If You Wish Upon Me”. His expressiveness onscreen is admirable, and you can’t not get immersed whenever you watch him act. We certainly can’t wait for more great roles under his name.

3. Kim SooHyun

You only have to visualize Kim SooHyun, and the first things that comes to mind is this: class. Even when he plays burdened characters like in “It’s Okay To Not Be Okay”, you can still tell there’s a classy man underneath all that. Dramas he starred in such as “Dream High”, “My Love from the Star”, “The Moon Embracing The Sun” and “One Ordinary Day” were hit dramas that did well both domestically and internationally. His roles in these dramas helped showcase just how versatile of an actor Kim SooHyun is. He is a seasoned actor far above his peers after all, and fans can gladly cheers to that.

4. Park HyungSik

We won’t deny that one reason Park HyungSik has a large fanbase because of his good looks. But then, that doesn’t mean his acting isn’t just as fancy. His roles in “Strong Girl Bong-soon”, “Hwarang”, “Happiness” and “Soundtrack #1” were the definition of the supportive husband or friend. His characters was always there as a shoulder to lean on for the female characters in these dramas. Park HyungSik might just be the boyfriend material for this list.

Lee MinHo, the designated pretty boy of the K-Drama industry and the number one most loved Korean actor by international fans. Since the times of “Boys Over Flowers”, “The Heirs”, “City Hunter”, “Personal Taste”, “The Legend of the Blue Sea” and “Faith”, not a single person has been unaware of Lee MinHo’s existence. K-Drama fans and non-fans immediately recognize him, and his dramas always make waves. There are his recent dramas such as “The King: Eternal Monarch” and “Pachinko”, where he portrayed memorable characters once again. It’s certain that the man is not leaving our screens anytime soon.

For years now, Park SeoJun has developed something of a cult following for himself. He has been in multiple dramas, and has played many versatile roles. His roles have been witty, humorous or something of a revolution. Remember his characters in “Fight For My Way”, “What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim”, “The Divine Fury” and “Itaewon Class”? Those were characters that would be remembered for years and more years to come. Park SeoJun is just that good of an actor, and that’s an indisputable fact. Luckily, he doesn’t seem to be stopping his momentum anytime soon.
