A Look Inside JYP Entertainment's Amazing New Headquarters

As K-Pop agencies grow, produce more groups, and employ more staffs, they need more space. Thus, it is not rare for agencies to change buildings and location in order to provide the best working environment for both office workers, and artists. It was the case of JYP a few years ago, who relocated their new agency building in the GangDong-Gu area, right next to the Olympic Park of Seoul. This is a nice and accessible area, and other K-Pop agencies are located in the surrounding neighborhoods.

The new JYP Building is said to possess an organic cafe and inner place, as well as environmental-friendly elevators. Some rooms even have their own source of oxygen tank, making the place as healthy and eco-friendly as possible. This was a very good initiative from the person in charge as it will improve the working environment of JYP employees. The cafe used to be accessible to non-employee but not anymore, however, you can still see the building from outside and enjoy a walk in the park across the street.

But if the current location is great, JYP is still considering getting a new headquarter in the same area by next year with an even bigger building. As stated by the person in charge of this relocation, they hope that the new headquarter will help to productivity and efficiency thanks to the enlargement of the office space. But for now, if you still hadn't seen the current headquarters, here are some shots from inside the buildings.

1. The Common Area

After entering the building and going up the floors, you are welcomed by numerous alleys leading you to the different rooms and areas of JYP entertainment. This is like a second entrance hall, probably where idols meet and great each other each day.

2. The Restauration

This place is apparently used both as a cafe and restaurant, and as mentioned earlier, it is an organic space. As you van see on the pictures, there are a lot of plants and open space making this place comfortable and enjoyable during lunch time.

3. Studio Rooms

As explained per JYP himself as he was showing the new building to the former members of Wonder Girls, each studio room is named after great artists JYP admires such as Prince or Whitney Houston. Each Studio also have its own decoration, and atmosphere. The one on the picture is the Whitney studio, decorated after a diva look, with fancy lights and purple colors. As for the recording room located next door, the former member of Wonder Girls mentioned how good it was to have a window in it to see outside, the room felt less stuffed, and more calm than a regular recording studio.

4. The Resting Area

One room JYP introduced to his former artists was the resting room, a very nice and comfortable space with a synthesizer, some sofa, and a fridge to store beverages. The girls were asking JYP if they could come to hang out in that room sometimes as it looks very chill and comfy.

5. The Rooftop Garden

As mentioned before, the new JYP building is really filled with eco-friendly spaces, and this has to be the best one. On the very top of the building there is a small garden, with a terrace and some tables and chairs for JYP's employee to come at and enjoy the sun and some fresh air. We guess that when idols aren't rehearsing, they might be hanging out there, enjoying the view and some rays of sunshine.

This new building is indeed providing a good working environment for all employees, hopefully the new headquarter to be built next year will do the same, if not better.
