SM Entertainment’s CEO Lee SooMan has been quite busy preparing for something that has never been done before in the world of K-Pop.
The veteran music industry professional and CEO has expressed his strong intention to bring A.I technology into K-Pop as soon as it’s possible during his speech in Hanoi, Vietnam on the 5th of December. He stated that A.I and V.R (virtual reality) will see an immense growth in the market very soon and be key components in establishing a virtual empire throughout the world.
He has also shared the interesting idea of creating a virtual world in homes where virtual celebrities and idols equipped with artificial intelligence can interact with people. The A.I virtual idols would look and behave in exactly the same manner as some of the real idols. He hopes to be able to provide consumers with the choice of living with A.I idols while also enjoying various different cultural contents through virtual reality.
SM Entertainment is currently focusing and investing heavily into preparations that will allow an easy A.I market transition for the company.
The Girls’ Generation member ended up in a big mess that involved a life and death situation.
TaeYeon of Girls’ Generation (SNSD) crashed her Mercedes Benz into a taxi cab on November 28th 7:40 PM. The collision also caused the taxi cab to crash into an Audi in front of it. SM Entertainment has admitted to the public that the cause of the accident was entirely due to TaeYeon’s careless actions.
They have made an official apology to the victims of the accident but what was difficult to understand was their additional statement saying
‘TaeYeon is currently recovering and getting rest. She sustained no injuries. We apologize for this inconvenience.“
Netizens have been in uproar saying
“TaeYeon is not really important here at the moment. She’s the one who caused the accident and ran her car into the victims’ car. Unbelievable.“
The passenger involved in the accident took to the online community to reveal the entire story. The passenger was unable to get out of the cab because the door was damaged and jammed. The passenger also had glass shattered all over and was scarred everywhere. After a few strong kicks, the passenger managed to get out of the cab which had smoke fuming out of it at the time, a dangerous sign that meant the car could have potentially exploded. Even up to this point, TaeYeon remained inside her car, leading the passenger to think that whoever ran into the cab must be seriously injured and unable to get out of the car.
A brief moment later, TaeYeon came out of her car and according to the passenger’s statement, she came over to him and started unnecessarily tapping his shoulder multiple times while asking the passenger “Are you ok?” But before the passenger was able to reply, she just turned around and went back to her car. She never checked the taxi cab driver’s condition either. It was as if the cab driver didn’t exist to her.
At the time, the passenger was unaware that the person who crashed her car into the cab he was in was TaeYeon. The passenger was just furious that she tapped his shoulder and left without even apologizing.
And if you thought that this wasn’t bad enough, get this. The highlight of this terrible event was when emergency response staff and medics wouldn’t allow the victims to get into the ambulance because the person who caused the accident had to be transported to the hospital. Nurses at the hospital showed extremely lax attitude towards the victims and were busy tending to TaeYeon. The nurses were also heard saying “Oh dear, the floor must have been quite slippery today.“
