SM, YG, and JYP Entertainment, which are known as the 'big three' K-Pop entertainment agencies have provided quality K-Pop contents from the very beginning.
Some of the most popular K-Pop groups naturally have been produced through these agencies and we can't help but wonder what the salaries would be like of the workers at these amazing companies. Of course, we should also keep in mind that fixed salaries are different from other types of incomes that are made through copyrights and production. That means workers might potentially be making more money than their actually fixed salary by participating in the process of creating music.
Of the three companies, SM employees' salaries ranked the highest, followed by JYP and then YG.
SM Entertainment male employees' annual salary: $37,000
SM Entertainment female employees' annual salary:$30,000
JYP Entertainment male employees' average annual salary: $36,000
JYP Entertainment female employees' annual salary: $33,000
YG Entertainment male employees' average annual salary: $36,000
YG Entertainment female employees' average annual salary: $28,000
JYP Entertainment had the lowest income gap between male and female employees whereas YG Entertainment had the highest income gap among the three agencies.
