Baek YeRin Explains Why She Can’t Release ‘Square’ But Netizens Say She Has An Attitude Problem
According to Dispatch, netizens are currently criticizing K-Pop singer Baek YeRin, as they feel that she has a bad attitude towards her fans.
Many fans have been asking why the singer isn’t releasing her song ‘Square’, which was performed at a festival back in 2017. The video clip of her performing the song at the festival accumulated over 4 million views and was met with enormous positive reception from fans.
She explained that it was completely up to her to decide whether a song gets released while also explaining that her emotions and creative direction had changed.
The singer also talked about some of the negative things that were happening because of that particular song.
“There were times when people would let out a sigh for me to hear whenever I didn’t perform that song, which made it harder for me to focus and prepare for my next song. I get why they did it, probably because they really liked that song, but I was disappointed. I guess I might release it later?”
The DM’s from fans regarding the release of ‘Square’ continued.
“Even after I wrote a lengthy statement of explanation, there are always those who cross the line and behave like this.”
Netizens have been criticizing her for calling her fans out.
So basically, it comes down to should the fans respect the artist’s wishes? Or should the artist give in to the fans’ demands? At the moment, it seems that Baek YeRin has done her best to explain to fans why she is not releasing ‘Square’.
