Big Hit Entertainment To Merge With Major K-Pop Agencies?
Big Hit Entertainment is currently showing much potential to become a much bigger K-Pop production powerhouse at the moment, and other agencies definitely seem to know this as well.
Which is the reason why rumors of Big Hit Entertainment merging with two, or maybe three potential major K-Pop labels have been surfacing online.
The rumors first began when a South Korean reporter, Kim YongHo, brought it up during a talk show. In addition, he also dropped a few hints, giving fans a chance to guess which companies might merge with Big Hit Entertainment.
According to Kim YongHo,
“Big Hit Entertainment is currently getting ready for a huge merger and acquisition. But because there haven’t been any official signings on document, I must refrain from speaking directly about what companies are involved.
There are two companies that are currently likely to be involved in this merger. One of them currently has the most popular girl group and the other is the home agency of a celebrity who is currently the most popular in variety shows and CF’s.
The CEO’s of both agencies have been close friends with Big Hit Entertainment CEO Bang SiHyuk for a long time.
Big Hit Entertainment also received a proposition from a large corporate agency as well. This company has a much longer history than Big Hit, and is considered to be in one of the top five K-Pop agencies.
If this merger actually takes place, Big Hit Entertainment will most definitely surpass the top three agencies, SM, YG, and JYP by a landslide.”
Naturally, fans have been guessing and putting out names at the moment.
