BIGBANG & BLACKPINK’s Career Over? Fans Vow To Never Again Support YG After Burning Sun Controversy
After the Burning Sun assault incident involving alleged use of date rape drugs and police corruption, all of this seems to have caught up to YG Entertainment as well since BIGBANG member SeungRi was the owner of the club until just about a week ago when he resigned as the director of the club, many who see his actions as running away.
One fan wrote the following below online:
“Do not be a consumer of YG products. After the incident involving SeungRi, a lot of thoughts are beginning to come up. I’m also deleting all BLACKPINK and BIGBANG songs while also throwing all the albums away.
Let’s not be consumers. We shouldn’t allow money to become their power. Let’s show them how scary the people who made them rich and showed them love can really be.
The more you buy into them, the more they will think that the public are nothing but pigs that they can control. They’ll think that all they have to do is enter military service for a few years. They’ll think that all they have to do is just make another great song.
If we are true fans of BIGBANG and YG artists, shouldn’t we not always turn a blind eye to their faults but rather point it out and help them redeem themselves from their wrongdoings?
I’ve never written a post until recently, after reading about the date rape drugs, a victim being framed as being the assailant. And the fact that SeungRi was present during the time when all these things were happening.
i was shocked at what I’ve witnessed.
All the things we’ve seen in crime movies, I’m beginning to think that they just all might be reality as well.
Don’t be self-centered and say “what does all of this have to do with me?”
We are all affected as a society.
The reason why our society is always screaming about the rich and the poor is because of people like them who flaunt their wealth and power.”
And below are what other fans have been saying. Some have been urging groups such as iKON, WINNER, Lee Hi, and AKMU to leave the agency and find another one.
