BIGBANG SeungRi’s Club Burning Sun Surrounded By Sexual Assault And Police Corruption Accusations
Burning Sun, a club that is owned by BIGBANG member SeungRi, is currently one of the most talked about topics in South Korea at the moment after CCTV footages that seems to show a man being assaulted by associates of the club as well as the policemen were leaked online.
In addition, another CCTV footage showed a man dragging a woman who appeared to be knocked half unconscious and against her will has been causing great concern among South Korean netizens. Many have been accusing the club of drugging women and dragging them to VIP rooms where they would be sexually assaulted. What was more surprising was that the staff members of the club were seen doing nothing about it.

And the footages below seem to show a man being assaulted by a group of men as well. In addition, the police seem to be beating the man at some point even at the police station.
According to the alleged victim, he claims that a woman who was being sexually assaulted at the club ran to him for help. When he attempted to help the woman and call the police, a group of men dragged him outside and began to beat him. When the police arrived, he stated that the club’s manager fabricated a story that he was the perpetrator, and then the police began assaulting him. Afterward, he claimed that he was beaten again by the police after arriving at the police station. In addition, his mother, who was present at the police station, was dragged out by other policemen when she attempted to record her son getting beaten by policemen with her phone.
While the majority of South Korean netizens are speculating that the club is involved in crime and illegal activities, while also accusing the police department in that particular district to be corrupt and paid off by the club, a minority of other K-netizens have also been suggesting that there is a possibility that the alleged victims may have been causing disturbance to the business and were being taken care of by the club’s associates.
So far, there has been no official evidence or statement that has confirmed what actually happened.
