Diversity is always a good thing, especially in K-Pop. With the world's focus on K-Pop, the need for it to continue making statements that support diversity is perhaps needed more than ever in the times we live in.

Fatou Samba, also known as Fatou, is a Senegalese-Belgian rapper, singer, and model. She is the leader, main rapper, lead dancer, and vocalist of the K-Pop girl group BLACKSWAN.

Fatou was born and raised in Yoff, Senegal. She moved to Belgium at the age of 12, where she pursued a career in modeling. She later signed with DR Music to become a trainee, and she was revealed as the fourth member of BLACKSWAN in 2020.

While she's not the first black K-Pop idol, as former Rania member Alex was the first, there are definitely high hopes that she'll do well as a member of BLACKSWAN.

Many fans may still, however, have their concerns at the same time, given that there have been a number of fans in the past who felt that racism was the main reason why Alex left Rania.

Alex herself has spoken up on the issue before in the past as well.

Putting those concerns aside, Fatou debuting as a member of BLACKSWAN can prove to have a bigger impact as the world is focused on eradicating discrimination. Fatou may prove to be the voice and hope for a new chapter in the K-Pop industry.
