BLACKPINK's Lisa is a powerful celebrity that represent Thailand in the K-Pop world!
Kianna, Staff WriterBLACKPINK has revolutionized the K-Pop world in many ones. They are one of the girl groups who have broken many records and received many firsts for K-Pop groups in the industry. They have solidified their position as one of the top girl groups in Korea, being the first to perform at the famous festival Coachella and the first group to reach 1 billion views on a YouTube video.
One of the members that has gained quite a following inside and outside of Korea is the group's very own Lisa. Lisa is a fierce, incredible talent who always reminds us why she is in one of Korea's top girl groups. Inside and outside the group, Lisa shines in ways that make her one of the hottest celebrities. We will look at some history of Lisa and why you should know all about her.
When it comes to Lisa, it's a no-brainer that she is one of the top idols when it comes to her dancing skills. Having trained from a young age in Thailand, she excels at the craft and knows many fundamentals of the talent. Her dancing makes her stand out from the crowd and she shines vividly when on stage. Her famous performance video to the song 'Tomboy' garnered much attention from people inside and outside of the K-Pop world. Her confident, sharp dancing made many people fall in love with her instantly.
Besides her famous 'Tomboy' performance, Lisa also has many other videos on her YouTube channel titled LiLi's Film. Her dance performances showcase that she can do it all. Hip-Hop, Contemporary, Vogue, and more, she powerfully dances in her dance series videos, leaving us shocked every time we watch. Another thing that makes her stand out is her expressionism. She uses her whole body and facials to truly emulate what the dance is all about. Lisa's dancing continues to captivate many and she improves every time she hits the stage.
Lisa's music video for 'LALISA' was sensational and received much popularity for her first solo release. She trended a lot for a particular scene in her video. In the music video, Lisa can be seen wearing Thailand's traditional wear and there's another surprise that comes with it, the outfit was made by Thailand fashion designers! Her full traditional outfit was made by different Thailand designers and she wanted to show off her love for her home country. In BLACKPINK's music video for 'How You Like That', the stylist even incorporated Thai traditional wear into Lisa's outfit as all the members were wearing Korean traditional wear.
Outside of music videos and performances, Lisa also posts herself sporting Thai traditional wear during her various travels. Thai idols are not new to the K-Pop industry but still, there are a few of them and their skills deserve attention. Seeing Lisa represent her country worldwide is refreshing and shows how proud of her country she is. Thailand shows their pride for Lisa as well, having many of them supporting the idol in her group and solo projects.
Lisa does what she wants, wears what she wants, and goes where she wants! Her confidence is out of this world and we admire her greatly for it. It is not easy being a non-Korean idol in the K-Pop world. She has faced discrimination and received her fair share of hate from the internet. Lisa has shown that no matter what, she expresses who she is and no one can stop her! She has shown her beautiful personality and amazing resilience in the K-Pop world. She'll post herself bare-faced, sporting different fashion wear, and attractive performances not caring what others think! When it comes to unshakeable confidence, Lisa is the standard.

BLACKPINK's Lisa kicks off the LLOUD YouTube channel with a Q&A session and house tour!
Dyllan Mykel, Kpopmap EditorAlthough BLACKPINK decided to remain together under the YG Entertainment banner, the members decided to pursue their solo endeavors elsewhere. This led BLACKPINK's Lisa to open up her own label, LLOUD. Now, not only is she a legendary girl group member and celebrated soloist, Lisa can now add on company CEO to her resume.
With her experience and the a reliable group of people around her, many are excited for the artist's future promotions under LLOUD. So far, Lisa has truly embodied the company name, making more than loud public appearances that has the entire globe talking.
And it seems things are just getting started as LLOUD has officially opened up their YouTube channel. What better way to kick things off than a video with Lisa the CEO herself.
Now it's not everyday that fans get a tour of an idol's humble abode, but thankfully for BLINK, Lisa is here to sate fans' curiosity. The idol takes us through the front door and all throughout her amazing living space. While some floors remain a mystery, you can easily get a sense of how spectacular her home really is, equipped with multiple levels and spacious room all throughout.
Upon entering, she finds that the production crew has placed various questions at literally every corner. She talks about wanting to release an album, spills on how to be confidence, and her take on an age old question — what comes first: cereal or milk. With so many questions scattered around her house, even longtime BLINK can get a clearer idea of who Lisa is as a person and who she is at this current stage of life.
The video closes off with more questions and a touching birthday celebration. Surrounded by the filming staff, marvelous black and gold balloons, delicious cake and more, Lisa has the opportunity to celebrate her birthday. Celebrating her birthday under LLOUD in the first video on the YouTube channel feels cathartic, as it also signals a new chapter for the idol as she navigates what it means to lead a company for the very first time.
