While the subject of whether BLACKPINK's latest comeback single 'Kill This Love', an aggressive trap song with brass blaring loudly in an uptempo fashion, is still debatable in terms of whether it is a hit or a miss, the YG Entertainment girl group has outperformed two top stars, BTS and Ariana Grande on YouTube.
Ever since it was uploaded on YouTube, 'Kill This Love' had 56.7 million views in twenty four hours. Ariana Grande's 'Thank u next' earned 55.4 million.
BLACKPINK will soon be embarking on their North American leg of their world tour 'In Your Area', while they will also be performing at the Coachella music festival as well along side several world class artists including Diplo, Childish Gambino, J. Balvin, Zedd, and more.
Meanwhile, netizens in South Korea have been debating about a journalist's article that suggested that BLACKPINK's success was based on the quality of their music whereas BTS's success was heavily due to their social media marketing.
