The recent film 'Bohemian Rhapsody' has no doubt swept South Korea like a storm as it is currently one of the most talked about movies within the nation. South Koreans are absolutely going crazy over the film as it has over six million viewers at the moment within the nation. Queen's legacy continues to remain legendary more than ever.
However, actor Gwilym Lee, who plays band member Brian May, recently sparked a controversy in South Korea for uploading a photo on Instagram that contains the rising sun flag of Japan.
However, it seems that there are also some South Koreans who have a different stance. Some have stated
"Foreigners don't really know much about our country's history and just simply may not be interested. We can't criticize them since they didn't even know. We should just be understanding."
"It's the stores fault for having that flag there! Not the actor who probably didn't even know what that was."
The K-netizens who are continuing to criticize the actor have stated that awareness should be made and the least that the actor could do was apologize for not knowing.
What do you make of the situation?
