Lee DoHyun's role as Go ChungMyung in "Hotel Del Luna" (2019) sparked the media's interest in him as an actor. He showed his ability to express paradoxical emotions and awakened a new sense of sympathy in viewers.

His role as young Hong DaeYoung/Go WooYoung in "18 Again" (2020) earned him multiple awards for 'Best New Actor'. Although he had won an award for a previous acting role in the KBS Drama Special "Scouting Report" in 2017, this truly confirmed his acting prowess as a rising actor.

His role as Lee EunHyuk/Hyuk Lee in "Sweet Home" (2020) really helped him stand out in the industry, too. Many critics noted him as one of the most impressive actors in the drama and fans were also in awe of his ability to pull off a genre so different from his previous ones.

Lee DoHyun's role as Hwang HeeTae in "Youth of May"(2021) earned him the nickname 'the next generation's melodrama king'. This goes to show how impactful he already is and will continue to be in the future.

As Baek SeungYoo in "Melancholia" (2021), he showed his power when it comes to mastering his character arc. Not only did his character grow a lot but his acting made the growth all the more convincing through complex emotions.

He was a representative basketball player for his city, too.

However, his love for cinema and watching movies lead him to want to become an actor.

His popularity was also prominent from a young age. He has mentioned receiving gifts from girls during his school days such as chocolates on Valentine's Day and ion drinks after basketball games. His mother even had to help him carry his chocolates home one year because there were so many. This goes to show his persuasive charm which is essential to an acting career. He was clearly destined to be a star.

One of the things that make Lee DoHyun such a standout actor in the industry is his incredibly wide acting range. Just taking a look at his filmography will show you his versatility.
