Earlier this week, CN Blue members Jung YongHwa and Lee JongHyun were under investigation for insider trading and stock manipulation. YongHwa was reported to have purchased FNC stocks just around the time that FNC recruited Korea’s most famous MC, Yoo JaeSeok. He had purchased around 400 million won (~$350,000) of FNC stocks and had sold the stocks about a week after Yoo JaeSeok was recruited to make a total profit of about 200 million won (~$173,000). JongHyun had actually purchased the stocks after an acquaintance had informed him of the news of signing Yoo JaeSeok. However, after realizing that the purchase was made under illegal pretense, JongHyun did not sell his stocks after Yoo JaeSeok signed. Although JongHyun had held onto the stocks, the implications of his purchase was illegal, which led to him being fined. Afterwards, by showing his deep remorse and regret, the prosecution granted JongHyun him a summary indictment.
