BTS' J-Hope Shares His Inner Thoughts About His First Solo Activities And His Future Works

With his hectic promotions for his first solo album and headlining the music festival "Lollapallooza" last month, BTS' J-Hope has definitely been expressing his distinctive color as an artist. In his interview with Audacy before his appearance at "Lollapalloza", he talked about his recently released album, and his thoughts about headlining the music festival.

Being the first Korean artist to headline "Lollapallooza" is very meaningful. As the artist J-Hope, it's actually a great challenge and a great opportunity at the same time. It is very meaningful to show everyone my music and vibe here. For all reasons, this is a great moment for me.

About his first solo album, J-Hope said that he was able to convey his honest story, which made it even more meaningful for him.

This album is what I wanted, and I conveyed my honest story in the album itself. So, the album release itself is very meaningful. Whatever the results, it’s meaningful to me that I made my music at this point.

He also mentioned during the interview that his love for KAWS led to him collaborating with the artist for his new album's artwork and visuals.

When asked about his favorite song off the album, J-Hope said that his current favorite is the song 'What If...', mentioning that it shows his foundation and that he sampled the song during its creative process.

After the last month's solo activities, J-Hope said that while he wants try many different things, his current focus would be preparing for the upcoming BTS concert in October. For future activities as a solo artist, J-Hope promised his fans "good music that will capture J-Hope's energy".

I will be working on new music, keeping an open mind for the possibility of exciting collaborative works.
