If you're planning a trip to South Korea and want to experience some of these locations, here's a list of some popular places!

 

1. Original Big Hit Building - Seoul

If you want to travel to the past and see where it all started, Big Hit’s original entertainment building is the place to go! Located in the bustling, luxurious city of Gangnam, the building is decorated with various fan writings. It’s a popular staple to visit for many fans because it is where BTS spent their beginning years as a group. The journey is worthwhile and should be added to your bucket list of famous BTS tourist locations.

2. Line Friends - Seoul

The famous merchandise store LINE Friends is one of the cutest places to shop in South Korea. BTS released their character line BT21 and as soon as you enter the store, you’re greeted by all of their cute characters. From face pillows, plushies, and even keychains, the BT21 characters have all the items you can think of! The store also has photo zones with statues of all the characters. LINE Friends is in various locations in Seoul. You can check and see if it’s close to your hotel! A BT21 souvenir is the perfect way to end your travels.

 

3. Jumunjin Beach Bus Stop - Gangwon

If you know the “You Never Walk Alone” album, a certain picture may come to mind. BTS’s famous album cover and filming location can be found outside the bustling city of Seoul and in Gangwon! The bus stop has become a famous photo zone thanks to the boy group. Not only that, it is paired with the beautiful Jumunjin beach. Going on a sunny, warm day will give you the best photo possible and you can experience a sunny, colorful beach to complete your visit too.

4. MAGNATE - Busan

Opening in 2019, the cafe was an instant hit and many ARMYs travel to Busan just to get a glimpse of it. The interior design is no shock, being covered with various Jimin and BTS merchandise. 6. Compose Coffee - Various Locations In Korea

Compose Coffee is a popular coffee chain in South Korea known for its bright yellow color and large serving sizes. It's located nearly in every corner of South Korea. What makes Compose Coffee fit the list is that V recently became the latest face of the company! He can be seen all over the stores and in various advertisements for the popular chain. If you're looking to collect a cup sleeve with V on it and try out some delicious drinks, head to any Compose Coffee in South Korea!

Is there a new K-Pop idol or group that you're interested in these days? Can you feel yourself starting to fall for their charms and becoming a stan? Koreans have a word for this moment. It's called "ipdeok".

"Ipdeok" (입덕) means to enter a fandom.

It can be used in the context of starting to like an idol, actor, webtoon, K-Drama, and so on and so forth.

You can use it for any fandom that you are entering!

For instance, in "The Game Caterers 2 x HYBE", SEVENTEEN's MinGyu becomes a fan of TXT's SooBin during the "Random Play Dance" game. To express this, he uses the word "ipdeok".

 

Just like this, you can simply use the word "ipdeok" whenever you want to express that you are entering a fandom and starting to stan someone or something.

For example, when you start liking a K-Drama actor, you can say this:

그 드라마 보고 나면 그 배우한테 입덕했어

Geu deurama bogo namyeon geu baeu hantae ipdeokhaesseo.

Meaning: After watching that drama, I became a fan of that actor.
