Some fans noticed that Youtube had removed the music videos of BTS’s V “Singularity”, TWICE “Likey”, “YES Or YES”, “Like Ooh Ahh”, BLACKPINK “DDU-DU DDU-DU” as well as Jennie “SOLO”.
The reason for the removal is due to copyright claim by a company called Aipex Software Private Limited that is located in India.
Some fans believe that the company has been falsely reporting other artists’ and Youtubers videos, causing many artists to suffer due to the false claims. Not long ago, YG Entertainment even put up an announcement that “DDU-DU DDU-DU” has recently gained more than 600 million views. As such, many fans are even more infuriated by the removal of the music video.
Fans from different idol groups are coming together, hoping that Youtube will be able to resolve the issue as soon as possible.
Luckily not long after, Youtube restored all the music videos that were wrongly removed due to the copyright claim.
How do you think companies can prevent such things from happening again?
