Censorship Reasons For These K-Pop MV’s Are Quite Ridiculous
We sometimes question South Korea’s policies regarding censorship within the K-Pop industry because they seem to take up problems with some of the most trivial things.
Below are K-Pop MV’s banned from broadcast for the most ridiculous reasons.
PSY was apparently displaying behaviors involving “destruction of public property”
KBS banned this Orange Caramel MV (Catallena ) because the station felt it objectified women as things for sale.
DEAN’s song ‘Instagram’ was banned because it was the name of a brand.
BLACKPINK’s smash single ‘BOOMBAYAH’ MV was banned for lyrics making reference to the alcohol, Henessy and for the line ‘F U pay me.’
‘KILL THIS LOVE’ MV was banned because Rose wasn’t wearing a seatbelt in one particular scene, violating traffic laws.
