FNC Entertainment's girl group, Cherry Bullet celebrated their second year anniversary by releasing the first mini-album, <Cherry Rush> on Jan. 20, 2021!
Even though it felt like as if it was just yesterday when they debuted with <Let's Play Cherry Bullet>, they have grown significantly both as an artist and as a person with the experiences they accumulated throughout their career as a K-pop idol.
With the group's release of new album and celebrating their 2 year anniversary, Cherry Bullet spoke about the album and their ambitious goals in 2021.

Cherry Bullet’s debut was Jan. 21st, 2019 and exactly 2 years from then, on Jan. 20, 2021, group’s first mini album, <Cherry Rush> was released. Is there a special reason behind it?
Last year, we met our ‘Lullet’ with digital singles and this year, we were able to greet them with our first mini album!
It was an album that we had been preparing for a while and I am so glad that our fans are loving it!

<Cherry Rush> reminds me a lot of Cherry Bullet’s debut single, <Let’s Play Cherry Bullet>.Is there any hidden meaning to it? If so, what is it?
When we were preparing for this album, we focused a lot on both, performances, and vocals to showcase an upgraded version of our lovely energetic charms that we showed in our debut.

What other songs would you like to recommend from <Cherry Rush> besides the title track?
I really like ‘Ting-a-ring-a-ring’ which is the 5th track of the album! It is a warm winter song that contains heartwarming sounds of our members which will keep your heart warm as well when you listen! I hope everyone listens to it!

I recommend ‘Whatever’! I am normally quite direct and honest, and the lyrics of this song is direct as well! I like the confidence in this track.

First song I would like to recommend is 'Follow Me’ which I personally have grown fond of since the very first recording and also, the song that I have worked hard in singing adlibs, ‘Ting-a-ring-a-ring’. You MUST listen to both songs!

‘Follow Me’ and ‘Whatever’! ‘Follow Me’ has cute choreography and it’s really fun! The chorus of ‘Whatever’ is really addictive, and I personally love the rhythm of the song!

Like the title, ‘Love So Sweet,’ the song itself is so sweet but the MV gave the viewers another level of sweetness. Each member wore different designed outfits but have similar tone to it and it was all so pretty! What was your favorite outfit among the clothes you wore in the MV? And why?
I loved the mint-colored outfit! I’m sure everyone will agree because this outfit looks so pretty in the screen. It’s as if Cherry Bullet became 7 fairies!YU JU

Was there any fun episode during the MV shoot?
One of the rooms in the MV had so many desserts and it looked so delicious! The sweet smell made me so hungry so I asked one of the staffs if I can have one, but they said no since it was a prep and it was old.

What changed the most as a singer or as yourself in the span of two years since your debut?
The existence of ‘Lullet’ itself is the biggest change in all of us. Before our debut, I would dance alone, sing alone, and check my performance alone but now, Cherry Bullet has Lullet to sing and perform for. To be someone’s comfort and to be comforted is such an enormous strength and a blessing. Thanks to Lullet, we keep on working hard to be a better person and a better artist!

What is your stay-home hobby during this prolonged pandemic?
I have started cooking! It feels like it tastes better when you make it from scratch, and you find comfort while you cook! Also, with a new hobby, you don’t even notice the time! I highly recommend having a hobby that you can do while you are staying in!

There will be a time soon where you can meet your fans in person. What would you like to do most with your fans?
We would love to a live performance in front of them! Being unable to do something that was taken for granted made us realize how precious those were! We miss Lullet so much!♡

2021 has just started! What are your goals this year?
I want to try producing! Before the year goes by, I would love to try anything that is connected to music producing such as composing, writing lyrics, OST and etc. I also have recently got into musicals! But above all that, I wish we can do as many stages as we can without getting hurt or getting sick! To reach out to as many people as Cherry Bullet can is my biggest goal this year!

I like learning new things, so I want to study various subjects. Whatever that is, I want to be skilled enough to confidently present in front of people and that is my goal this year!

I want to do various works as a member of Cherry Bullet and appeal to a lot of people, showing them several charms that they might not have known before!
