"Build Up: Vocal Boy Group Survival" is heading into the finals, where everything is on the line. We briefly go over some of the charms from the remaining 3 groups and why you should vote for them!
Dyllan Mykel, Kpopmap EditorAfter a long, arduous road, Mnet's "Build Up: Vocal Boy Group Survival" ("Build Up") is set to head into its final round to determine the winner. With the one teams set, fans are fervently sending in their votes to ensure their favorite group gets a chance at debut.
Coming up to this point, they've shown tremendous growth, as both a group and individuals. It's difficult to pick just one, but in honor of competition, it's an unavoidable act that must be carried out.
Now, while some are set on their one pick, many others are still wondering who they should wholeheartedly support. If this sounds familiar, look down below to figure out which "Build Up" team you should vote for.
WATERFIRE's entire vibe is probably the closest to representing the season we're in: spring. Behind their refreshing, innocent visuals, their voices manage to carry you through wave after wave of heartache and relief. From UP10TION's SunYoul as a walking example of pure innocence, Kang HaYoon's reversal of charms that will shock the world, Wumuti's cotton candy-like personality, and Choi SuHwan's allrounder qualities, WATERFIRE could be the next OST kings if they make it past the finish line.
The moment this team was formed, audiences were thinking this could be a winning combination. While not always a smooth ride, their alluring voices carried them through every hardship, earning praise from judges and fellow contestants. There's ONE PACT Jay Chang's groovy soul, CIX SeungHun's unrelenting vocal prowess, Kim MinSeo's moments of sheer surprise, and M.O.N.T Bitsaeon's leadership capabilities that create a perfect harmony of individuals that fans can't help but root for.
Every member of The Partners has made a resounding statement across various performances. Some was met with the sweet taste of victory, while other times they were met with the bitterness of defeat. Park JeUp's survival show experience, A.C.E Lee DongHun's amazing high notes, JUST B Bain's alluringly sexy voice, and AB6IX Jeon Woong's unrelenting desire to prove himself has all led to this moment. The Partners stand just outside the door to victory, hoping their efforts have reached enough people to push them to the next level.
Who do you hope will win survival program "Build Up"?

Mnet's vocal boy group survival show "Build Up" is heading towards its finale. Find out what we think about the finalists!
Ishani Sarkar, Kpopmap EditorMnet's latest vocal boy group survival show, "Build Up" is heading towards a fiery finale, and we will soon find out which vocal boy group will dominate the industry next.
Before that, however, fans are sharing their opinions on the top 5 final teams, also known as "One Teams", who will be fighting for their debut.
Check out these top 5 One Teams below and our thoughts on them, such as the concepts that would suit them, and more!
Members: Park JeUp, A.C.E's Lee DongHun, JUST B's Bain, AB6IX's Jeon Woong
We don't know about you but this group has visuals on visuals on visuals.
Masculine allure seems to be the image of the group, visually.
In terms of vocals, the members truly carry very distinct vocal colors, and it will be interesting to see how their voices melt with each other.
We imagine a sexy gentleman concept would suit this group best.
PARTNERS is gaining a lot of support from fans, with many looking forward to Park JeUp debuting in the final group.
Members: ONE PACT's Jay Chang, M.O.N.T's BITSAEON, CIX's SeungHun, Kim MinSeo
Top Tier Jay said that his goal in "Build Up" is making a group that has good-looking members who are versatile all-rounders.
It seems like he got his dream team, after all!
Even fellow contestants on the show admitted that the members of HUN-MIN-JAY-BIT are not only strong vocalists but are also incredibly handsome!
While it was a pity to see Jay's original team disband, it seems like HUN-MIN-JAY-BIT will have strong synergy and a distinct and unified musicality to show us.
This is because the members' vocal styles will probably fit well with each other.
We think a pop concept would be best suited to this group.
HUN-MIN-JAY-BIT is very popular among both Korean and international viewers.
Members: Lee GwangSeok, Lim JunHyeok, PENTAGON's Yeo One, Hwang InHyuk
It was heartwarming to see Top Tier Lee GwangSeok keep his team with the addition of a new member in the latest episode of "Build Up".
The teamwork between the original members was what took them to the next round, and we think Lee GwangSeok's trust in their continued collaboration will build up the audience's trust in them, too.
Yeo One shared that with Hwang InHyuk being different from the three other members, he would make for the perfect addition to the group, filling up a crucial gap.
We think a romantic concept would suit DO-RE-MI-FA most beautifully, and we can see them singing romance K-Drama OSTs, too!
Members: JUNGSOOMIN, JUST B's GeonU, Kim SeoHyung, Choi HaRam
With a refreshing GEN Z vibe, this group has arguably the best name.
The members have an irresistible boyish charm and are sure to attract many fans.
In addition, with JUNGSOOMIN keeping his original team and adding Choi HaRam, who fits the vibe of the group, the team's synergy is expected to be perfect, too.
Of course, this includes both vocal synergy and personal coordination because not only are the members amazing singers but also good friends!
Therefore, it is no surprise that many Korean netizens are rooting for MILKY-UP and, particularly, GeonU.
A newtro concept, a disco-funk concept, or a bright and youthful high teen concept would be perfect for MILKY-UP.
Members: UP10TION's SunYoul, Wumuti, Kang HaYoon, Choi SuHwan
This is the type of group that can make the crowd go crazy.
Even though WATER FIRE was created with the last remaining members and Top Tier SunYoul, we think it's an extremely solid team that can surprise everyone.
As the members mentioned themselves, some may think their synergy won't be as good as the others, but the passion in their eyes says otherwise.
This team was meant to be!
Every single member is a very unique and strong vocalist and they have won hearts with their personalities too.
So, the group is receiving a lot of love and support.
WATER FIRE would fit perfectly with a fantasy concept because of the members' ethereal visuals.
Which One Team are you rooting for? Tell us on X!

Here are some contestants who surprised us with their incredible vocal prowess on "Build Up: Vocal Boy Group Survival".
Dyllan Mykel, Kpopmap EditorMnet's "Build Up: Vocal Boy Group Survival", simply known as "Build Up", is well underway and even in its early stages, the competition is hot with passion and endless possibilities. So far the show's been through 2 rounds worth of vocal performances with the third just looming on the horizon. As the contestants continue to show their skills, viewers naturally find themselves falling for every single one of them.
Heading into the program, there were many well-known vocalists whose skills have become known far and wide. From Park JeUp's breathtaking high notes to ONE PACT Jay Chang's indisputable groove, many viewers were looking forward to these contestants, and more. While there has been a general consensus of contestants who will do great due to their vocal capabilities, there are some that took everyone by surprise. These contestants made a heartfelt statement that they certainly should not be counted out.
Now, here are a few vocalists who surprised us from "Build Up: Vocal Boy Group Survival" so far.
During the PRE-4 Mission, Bain was certainly good but due to the strength of his group he was only able to achieve a mid tier ranking. However, all of this changed during the 2v2 Rival Mission. Together with Kim MinSeo, Bain gave a spellbinding performance of 'River'. He made a complete transformation from the first round with the allure of his singing strength. Bain gave a statement performance that raised all expectations for him going forward.
Wumuti is no stranger to survival competitions. We've seen the idol appear on "Under Nineteen" and "Boys Planet", however, each time was unable to make it into the debut lineup. Although, it seems something has changed in him since then as every performance so far has been casting Wumuti in a different light. His vocals seem to have become unlocked, slowly becoming refined to possess a diamond-like aura. Every note is pristine, able to effortlessly draw all netizens in.
It wouldn't be a competition program without a few trainees in the mix. One who's shown undeniable skill since the start is Jeong YunSeo. Everything from his on stage poise, diction, and line delivery makes it hard to believe he has yet to debut. Through "Build Up", YunSeo is constantly proving that he can stand toe to toe with his sunbaes with the potential to shake up the competition and take the world by storm.
There are many well-known names among the contestants that naturally find themselves standing in the spotlight. However, one surprising new face is model Lee GwangSeok. Despite not having any vocal training, his husky voice captivated everyone from judges to contestants alike. With proper guidance and time, Lee GwangSeok has the potential to become a mainstay in the music industry for years to come.
Born in Chicago, Illinois, JUNGSOOMIN is free-spirited and carefree, a shining example of his Western upbringing. However, all of this changes the moment he has a microphone in his hand. He's been absolutely killing it since the very beginning, stunning everyone with his surprising duality. While there's similarities between his personas on and off stage, the differences will make you fall even more for JUNGSOOMIN as "Build Up" carries on.
When Choi SuHwan first greeted the public, it was as a contestant on "Produce X 101". Since then he's made his solo debut, but has flown just below the radar of the K-Pop community. Now through "Build Up" he has been able to showcase his immense vocal prowess and how he's greatly improved since being a trainee. Choi SuHwan is a complete all-rounder, being able to sing, rap, and create melodious harmonies with his fellow contestants. Choi SuHwan is in full bloom and ready to show off what he's made of through Mnet's "Build Up".
Is there another contestant you would like to add to the list? Who do you hope will make it to the final lineup?
