CIX is a 5-member boy group under C9 Entertainment famous for their superior musicality. Made up of the members BX, SEUNGHUN, BAEJINYOUNG, YONGHEE, and HYUNSUK, the group has made great strides throughout its career.

From their debut EP album "'HELLO' Chapter 1: Hello, Stranger" released in 2019 to their most recent comeback with the 5th EP album "'OK' Episode 1: OK Not" and title track '458', the group has proven themselves as artists and as the pride of FIX (their fandom).

One of their latest achievements is the successful conclusion of the European leg of their CIX 2nd World Tour "Save me, Kill me". Starting with two December concert dates in Seoul to bring in the new year, the group toured Europe in January. They had concert stops in Warsaw, Tilburg, London, Paris, Cologne, and Berlin.

CIX will now be making their way to nine more cities in the U.S. for the American leg of their tour starting in March. In the U.S., they will have concerts in New York, Reading, Washington, Chicago, Houston, Fort Worth, Tempe, Los Angeles, and Oakland. You don't want to miss it!

Kpopmap had the pleasure of conducting an interview with CIX about their ongoing world tour. They shared their favorite songs to perform, tourist attractions they loved to see, their adoration for FIX, and more!

CIX, welcome to Kpopmap and congratulations on your “Save me, Kill me” 2nd World Tour! Firstly, we’d love to wish you a Happy New Year and all the best for 2023. Do you have any New Year’s resolutions for the year to come?

This new year, I want to meet more of FIX and I think we've taken a step forward starting with this Europe tour.
BX
I decided to do things steadily and faithfully.
YONGHEE
I've always wanted to exercise but never went through with it properly, but starting with this tour, I've been working out diligently every day! I think I'm working hard because each of these small practices comes back with great results later on.
HYUNSUK
I think health always comes first. Don’t get sick and be happy!
BAEJINYOUNG
My goal is to do better this year.
SEUNGHUN

What was your favorite moment of 2022 as a member of CIX?

I think I'm happy when I see FIX smiling and enjoying our stage.
BX
Meeting FIX is always the best. I just enjoy spending time laughing and crying with the members.
YONGHEE
I liked every moment with FIX as CIX, but I think the most memorable moment was the concert. It was great to see a lot of FIX from the April concert, the U.S. tour, and the December concert!
HYUNSUK
Performing on stage together was always great.

It was great whenever we made memories with our fans.

You opened the tour with a two-day concert in Seoul. What was the most memorable moment from those shows?

I was so happy and proud that FIX really liked the song that I worked hard on.
BX
I'm touched by the love and support from the audience. It has the power to keep me going even if it's hard.
YONGHEE
While I was singing 'Confession' I saw the fans watching me very lovingly so I felt very touched when I saw their expression.
HYUNSUK
This was the first time that I was able to let you hear my voice for 3 minutes. It felt new to both the fans and me. I could not forget it.
BAEJINYOUNG
It was FIX's first concert after COVID-19, so the whole concert was memorable.

The feeling of performing for a crowd of FIX must be surreal. What is your favorite song to perform for a live audience?

I really wanted to perform 'Cinema', the song that received love all around the world, to FIX.
BX
I want to perform songs that FIX likes and I want to perform songs that we don't usually do.
YONGHEE
It's hard to choose just one song. But I'm confident with my stages and want to show FIX all our performances.
BAEJINYOUNG
As much as I'm working hard on each song, I want to show you all the songs.

During your “REBEL” tour in 2022, you shared a lot of travel photos with your fans. This time, your world tour will be taking you to 16 different cities to meet FIX in Europe and the U.S. Are there any tourist attractions you are excited to see or foods you are excited to try?

In Europe, I was so happy to see the Eiffel Tower and eat Schweissen. I want to eat a lot of different foods in America, especially food that's hard to search for in Korea!
BX
It was so much fun to see the wonderful scenery of European cities! I loved the feeling of Europe and it was more enjoyable to see what I saw on YouTube in real life. I want to go to places I've only seen on YouTube in the U.S. and I really want to eat meat in the U.S. I’m looking forward to it.
YONGHEE
During the Europe tour, all the cities were very cool and romantic. The best thing was riding a cruise ship in Paris and listening to music with the wind on my face, it was so romantic. It’s our second tour in the U.S., but I felt very carefree during the first tour and I think it fits me well, so I’m looking forward to this tour in the U.S. too.

I want to try more European foods that I haven’t tried during the Europe tour.

You’re starting the year on a strong note with your world tour. What else can fans look forward to seeing from CIX this year?

We’re going to meet FIX not only in Korea but all over the world this year, so please look forward to it!
BX
We'll prepare to meet FIX soon, so please look forward to it. I really want to do an Asia tour this year.
YONGHEE
It’s been a while since we debuted and we’ve shared a lot of things. There are many genres and concepts that we still haven’t tried yet, so we hope this year is when we can show you new stuff.
HYUNSUK
We'll continue to show you our growth through tours and other activities, so please look forward to it!
BAEJINYOUNG
We'll prepare and work hard to meet our fans more often, so please look forward to it!

Which of your songs would you recommend for new fans, who discover CIX for the first time in 2023, to listen to?

There are a lot of songs that I want to recommend but if I have to choose, I want to recommend our fan song ‘The One’.

I want to recommend CIX’s ‘WIN’. I hope everyone has a winning day wherever they are.
YONGHEE
Out of all our songs, I want to recommend ‘Drown in Luv’.
HYUNSUK
I want to recommend the song ‘Everything’.
BAEJINYOUNG
I want to recommend ‘Cinema’. I want to show our happy side when we perform the song on stage.

Would you rather only perform one song for the rest of your life or only perform one concept for the rest of your life?

I want to perform one song for the rest of my life. If I perform one song for the rest of my life, I can perform it more skillfully.
BX
I want to perform one song for the rest of my life with an amazing song that everyone can enjoy.
YONGHEE
One song for the rest of my life sounds like it could be boring, so I would want to do one concept with multiple songs.
HYUNSUK
I choose to perform one concept for the rest of my life.
BAEJINYOUNG
To perform with one concept for the rest of my life! I don’t think I can hold a concert with just one song.

Lastly, FIX have always shared their love for you from all over the world. How do you feel when you read their words? Do you have anything to say to your global fans?
