CIX Showcases Taoyuan’s Hidden Gems In New Episode Of tvN’s “Hashtag Travelog”

K-Pop meets culture in the latest episode of tvN’s popular travel series, Hashtag Travelog, as rising South Korean boy group CIX takes center stage in a heartfelt exploration of Taoyuan, Taiwan. Designed to promote international tourism and spotlight Taiwan’s vibrant regional offerings, the special episode sees the five-member group immersing themselves in the city’s flavors, heritage, and scenery.

In partnership with South Korea’s CJ ENM and Taiwan’s Taoyuan Department of Tourism, this cross-cultural collaboration aims to attract more South Korean tourists by showing off Taoyuan’s appeal through the global reach of K-Pop. The episode, themed “healing”’ features CIX members BX, SeungHun, YongHee, and HyunSuk as they journey through the nostalgic streets of Daxi Old Street, the informative exhibits of the Taoyuan Tea Museum, and the fascinating Yongan Conch Cultural Experience Park. Throughout, the group samples authentic Hakka cuisine and local street snacks, giving audiences a sensory-rich tour of Taoyuan’s culinary treasures.

Known for blending travel and social media in its storytelling, “Hashtag Travelog” integrates Instagram Reels into this episode, allowing CIX’s massive fanbase—more than 1.22 million strong—to enjoy behind-the-scenes moments in real time. The group expressed excitement over the trip, praising Taoyuan for its diversity and the warm surprises they discovered at each stop.
