Crush releases highly awaited album "wonderego"!
Eunice, Kpopmap EditorCrush has celebrated a decade in the music industry with the release of his highly anticipated third full-length album, "wonderego." The album, which was dropped yesterday (November 14), marks a significant milestone in his career, arriving four years after his Top 20-charting sophomore release, "From Midnight to Sunrise."
Crush, known for his sophisticated blend of R&B that draws inspiration from 1970s soul, hip-hop, and acoustic balladry, first captured attention with the single 'Sometimes' from his 2014 debut album, "Crush on You." His musical journey continued with a string of popular EPs, collaborations, and chart-topping singles, including the #1 hit 'Just' with Zion. T in 2015.
In 2019, after completing his mandatory military service, Crush signed with P NATION and released "From Midnight to Sunrise," which secured the 19th spot on the Gaon Album Chart and earned him the R&B Album of the Year award at the Korean Hip-Hop Awards. Notably, he also collaborated with j-hope of BTS for the funky track 'Rush Hour'.
Crush is back in the spotlight with "wonderego." The album, comprising 19 new songs across various genres such as R&B, soul, pop, funk, and house, holds a special place in Crush's heart. It signifies a new chapter in his career, allowing him to continue sharing his most inner honest feelings through his music.
Crush took an active role in the creative process of "wonderego," contributing to the lyrics, composition, and arrangement of many tracks. The title track, "흠칫 (Hmm-cheat)," is an R&B masterpiece that pays homage to 2000s pop, capturing the startling moment when one encounters their ideal type. Collaborating with well-known artists like Dynamicduo, PENOMECO, AMAKA, Kim Ximya, and Lee Hi, Crush has crafted an album that showcases his versatility and evolution as an artist.
Shortcomings are what made me who I am for a long time. "wonderego" is a journey that begins with it. Shortcomings and completeness, boredom and excitement – On this journey, I take one more step on the road of my mixed, indescribable emotions that pierce through complex feelings. Ultimately, "I" have various sides of myself, so "I" continue my life for another day.
Crush
As Crush embarks on this new musical journey with "wonderego," fans can expect a collection of songs that reflect his growth, passion, and unwavering dedication to his craft. This third full-length album serves as a testament to Crush's enduring impact on the South Korean music scene and sets the stage for what promises to be an exciting next chapter in his illustrious career.

Crush is an amazing vocalist who has produced numerous hits over his career, including K-Drama OSTs. Journey through these iconic series that has featured Crush's mesmerizing vocals!
Dyllan Mykel, Kpopmap EditorCrush is an artist in every sense of the word and is often praised for his outstanding vocal prowess. Whenever he grabs hold of a microphone, listeners must prepare themselves to go on a magical adventure, wowed by the various notes he's able to reach. Whether he sings an upbeat dance song or heartrending ballad, Crush can do it all with style and flair.
While he's released countless originals, the singer has collaborated with various K-Dramas and produced a number of memorable OSTs. With Crush's voice playing in the background, the feelings that stem from a scene become heightened and take on new life. The number of OSTs he's released can be counted on one hand, however, continue to remain well-loved hits.
Using Crush's OSTs as a basis, let's journey through these various K-Dramas!
"It's Okay, That's Love" was revolutionary as it was one of the few K-Dramas at the time to tackle issues of mental health and disabilities. Viewers were kept up at night thinking about an episode's events and how the characters of Jang JaeYeol (Zo InSung) and Ji HaeSoo (Kong HyoJin) will move forward in their relationship.
'Sleepless Night' provided comforting background music that plucked on heartstrings with its sweet melody. Including the harmonies of Crush and Punch's vocals, 'Sleepless Night' also served as the perfect lullaby outside of the drama.
Feelings of yearning, intertwined destinies, and a romance that transcends time itself — "Goblin" moved the hearts of millions, becoming a well-loved series among the K-Drama community. No one will forget the range of emotions felt while watching Kim Shin (Gong Yoo) and Ji EunTak (Kim GoEun) navigate their relationship and feelings of romance.
In order to elevate such a heartrending story, Crush's 'Beautiful' became one of the drama's representative songs. Hearing this OST outside of the drama, various scenes from 'Goblin' start to play out right in front of your eyes, bringing fond memories of nostalgia and affection.
Captain Ri JungHyeok (Hyun Bin) and Yoon SeRi's (Son YeJin) love story was one for the history books. "Crash Landing On You" was a K-Drama that broke records and took the entire world by storm. The chemistry between main leads was impeccable and their acting prowess immersed audiences from beginning to end. Everything about "Crash Landing On You" was perfect, including the drama's OST.
Crush's 'Let Us Go' was memorable, adding onto the feelings of intense longing between Captain Ri and Yoon SeRi. It was certainly not an easy task to let go of such an incredible drama, but with an amazing OST and news of Hyun Bin and Son YeJin's relationship, a long stretch of happiness seemed to follow the series' end.
"Itaewon Class" hyped up the underdogs and proved that with hard work, persistence, and a bit of luck, success is not too far off. Audiences reveled in the characters' joy and broke down when they were consumed by tears.
Crush's 'No Words' added onto this effect, becoming a heartfelt ballad everyone wanted to listen to. While this OST can make you emotional, you'll have the chance to affectionately recall Park SaeRoi's (Park SeoJun) struggles and how he rose to the top despite of it.
Have you watched these dramas before? What's your favorite OST by Crush? Let us know in the comments!
