CULTURE THINK Launches phooey, Music Distribution Service, to Provide ‘ALL IN ONE PROCESS’ Service For Artists

A festival production company for the largest hip-hop festival in Korea, CULTURE THINK (CEO Kim Jin-Kyom), has launched phooey, a music distribution service, to expand its content distribution business.

CULTURE THINK has established itself as a culture, art, and entertainment comprehensive company through investment and production for festivals and a management company (CTM). CULTURE THINK introduces phooey's unique service differentiated from existing music distributors by using its infrastructure and management capacity accumulated over the years.

While other music distributors are focusing on ‘distribution’ itself within domestic and foreign streaming platforms, phooey plans to provide 'ALL IN ONE PROCESS' service in the combined form of music distributor, record company, and management company by focusing on promotion support and advertising business through global media partners.

It also plans to offer various content using the official character 'phooey' to combine music and character content so that the listeners can enjoy music with visual pleasure.

With distributing a wide range of genres of music including hip-hop, R&B, rock, and dance to over 200 streaming platforms around the world, phooey has released more than 100 albums and 500 songs over the past three months, recording 300% sales growth. It is expecting 500% sales growth in 2022 through brisk music distribution and collaboration with artists.

A staff from phooey said, "We will support talented artists who have barely remarked before to be highlighted" and "the ultimate goal is not only to discover new domestic and foreign artists or to support music production, but also to quench the thirst of existing artists for mutual growth."

“Based on the synergy between related businesses, we will establish a systematic and integrated model for music business to introduce high-quality music content both domestically and internationally,” he continued.
