K-Pop idols head to the city streets of Seoul in order to pursue their dreams and eventually stand on stage in front of hundreds of fans. While much of their training is done in the capital city, they come from various regions and cities, making the pool of idols wide and diverse. There's stars from Gwangju, Busan, and Jeju Island.

While Jeju is famous for its stunning scenery and tropical vibes, it is considered the hometown to a wide number of idols. Despite moving away to the city, they talk about Jeju fondly and with heaps of affection. They take pride that they were able to grow up in beautiful environment such as Jeju, sharing anecdotes and fun stories all throughout their career.

Now, let's take a look at these idols from the beautiful Jeju Island.

 

1. SoYou 

SoYou was born on Jeju Island and remained there until she was 9-years-old. The idol often shared her childhood memories through various TV programs, providing an insight on what it's like to be a Jeju native.

 

2. Kang MiNa

While Kang MiNa was born elsewhere, she considers Jeju her hometown. She lived on the island since she was 8-years-old until she went off to pursue her dreams of  becoming an idol. After debut, she even used her Jeju dialect, or satoori, on numerous programs, proof of her upbringing there.

 

3. iKON's Jay

Jay is an absolutely talented vocalist with a stage presence that stirs the hearts of all those around him. He is also one of the K-Pop idols who come from Jeju Island. On a TV program, he even visited his own home with the rest of his members, showing everyone the place where he grew up.

 

4. THE BOYZ' Ju HakNyeon

While participating on Mnet's "Produce 101 Season 2", through his introduction video, Ju HakNyeon was referred to as the "refreshing Jeju boy". He then proceeded to proudly introduce himself as someone from Jeju Island. Even then he took pride in his hometown and continues to do so today.

 

5. BaekHo

BaekHo is known for his melodic vocals and jaw-dropping physique. He often recounted his childhood memories of his hometown and was seen going back multiple times through personal vlogs and television programs.

 

6. WJSN's DaYoung

DaYoung is a multitalented idol, being able to perform at a high level while also making fans laugh with her innate humor. Before making her official debut, however, she was a simple resident of Jeju Island. On television programs, DaYoung even demonstrated her Jeju dialect, amazing viewers and cast alike.

 

7. A.C.E's Kang YuChan

Kang YuChan is another K-Pop idol who comes from the beautiful island of Jeju. Despite being pursuing his dreams as an idol, he never forgets his roots and the amazing hometown where he grew up.

 

8. OH MY GIRL's Mimi

Not only is Mimi a talented rapper, she has also become a well-loved celebrity within the variety community. She's able to make viewers laugh for hours on end. Although she's making a living in the city, she takes pride in being from Jeju Island.

 

9. IVE's LIZ

IVE has only seen an upward trajectory since their debut, already leaving a large impact on the K-Pop scene. LIZ has solidified herself as an incredible vocalist, able to hit high notes with apparent ease. She is another idol who comes from the scenic Jeju Island, even sharing stories of her time living there on various TV shows.

 

10. SEVENTEEN's SeungKwan

SeungKwan's last name 'Boo' is a family name that originated from Jeju Island. He has shown an undying love for his hometown on numerous TV programs. He is even gifted tangerine related presents from fans due to his Jeju origins.

Green is a color often associated with spring because it's the blooming season, yet we see green all summer too. Not only in the beautiful nature that surrounds us but also on stage, with our favorite idols. May it be their lenses, makeup, or even outfits, green is a color that just shines bright on stage with our favorite artists. And even if it doesn't seem like a fashionable color to some, take the time to take a look at the idols listed here.

Yes, green is not always an easy color to wear, but our idols know better. Some of them just know that this color suits them perfectly and can make them look ten times cooler on stage. No matter the concept, green is a color that will always gain attention, and highlight the artists' best features. So even if we're in the middle of the summer season, let's see who are the idols that look like wonderful blooming flowers in their green outfits.

1. (G)I-DLE's MiYeon

MiYeon is surely gorgeous no matter what she wears, but this one-of-a-kind costume she wore as an MC is a must-see. Of course, it is not a common stage outfit she is wearing here, but still, isn't she the cutest Tinker Bell you've ever seen? MiYeon looks just as if she was a fairy born from a flower in this outfit.

 

2. SHINee's MinHo

SHINee recently made an iconic comeback with their song 'HARD' and their fashion was on point. Especially this very unique green outfit MinHo wore. It is a kind of streetwear, yet, it doesn't look like a regular sports outfit. Probably it is just MinHo's handsomeness that is making those clothes look so cool.

 

3. BOYNEXTDOOR's SungHo

Along MiYeon's special MC outfit, we had to mention SungHo as well. Because Tinker Bell cannot go anywhere without her Peter Pan! Indeed, this super cute Peter Pan costume had fans go in awe for SungHo that day. After all, our idols dress as our favorite childhood characters, it's like a dream come true!

 

4. NMIXX's Lily

Lily is already as pretty as a flower on a daily basis, but green is a color that highlighter her beauty so much. Even if it was just a touch of green on her outfit, it was quite outstanding, and such a unique piece of clothing, it looked fantastic on her. Surely her pink hair only accentuated the effect the green color had on Lily.

 

5. SoYou

SoYou was looking amazing recently when she wore that colorful sweater. It does not only include green but has multiple colors on it, and it honestly just made the light green color stand out even more. And what we specifically liked about her outfit is actually the detail of her hairpin which is the exact same green color as her sweater. That was such a cute detail that made her look like a cute little plant.

 

6. KISS OF LIFE's Julie Han

KISS OF LIFE recently made its debut, and it outshined not only with its song but also with its outfit. Indeed, in one of their stages, Julie was wearing an adorable green crop top with a long sleeve, and even if that is not Tinker Bell's outfit, she did look like a fairy wearing it. Whether it is a fairy or a flower, Julie is surely looking wonderful in green outfits.

 

7. MIRAE's LIEN

Last but not least, here is a very cool green outfit worn by LIEN. If green is often associated with nature and cute things, it can however be a super cool color depending on its shade, and LIEN's outfit is the perfect example of that. His military-style outfit just looks so cool, it automatically gives him an impressive aura. But, of course, his amazing facial expression also has something to do with it.

 

Whether they look cool or cute, one thing is for sure all those idols look stunning in their green outfits, and we can't wait to see some more!
