Discover Seoul: Old Mullae ‘From Factory to Artsy Restaurant Pub’
Mullae an area of Seoul that is dominated by factories and company buildings is not the most entertaining places to be when visiting South Korea. However, one place that shines like a gem in the midst of all the factories is Old Mullae.
So what exactly is Old Mullae you might ask? It is basically a cafe, pub, and restaurant that used to be a factory since the 1930’s. It has now been remodeled into an amenity where you can enjoy beer and good food. It is alternatively known as ‘The Creative Zone’ because of the way it has reused the building and also because of the artwork that can be seen inside. The owner is also known to be an architect herself. What is even more interesting are the types of machinery inside the place, which have been reinvented for different purposes.
During the place’s daytime business hours, it is strictly a cafe where you can enjoy your coffee while looking at the displayed works of art.
The place then strictly becomes a pub and bar once the clock hits 6 pm. Coffee stops being served while mouth-watering dishes like fish and chips, corn salad, beer, and ale are served.
The wing platter with fries, salsa, sausages, cole slaw, and green salad is to die for.
