The Dreams BLACKPINK JiSoo Had And Why She Gave Up On Them
BLACKPINK member JiSoo had many dreams before becoming the famous K-Pop idol that she is today. Unfortunately, she went through many letdowns after discovering some of them just weren’t for her.
As a young kindergarten student, her future dream was to become an artist. And so when she entered 1st grade elementary school, she drew her face for a school event. The only problem was that the eyes and nose were about thirty times bigger than they should have been, according to her. She was shocked when she saw how bad her drawing was in comparison to the other children’s’.
“When I was in kindergarten, I wrote down ‘artist’ as my future dream job. But when I started my first grade year, I had to draw my face and post it up on the board. I was so shocked when I saw my drawing. The eyes and nose were literally 30 times the real size.I gave up after that.”
Later on, she wanted to become a hairstylist. But after ruining her friend’s front hair by cutting them out of proportion, she decided never again to lay her hands on a scissor to cut someone’s hair.
“Being a hairstylist was also another dream. But after cutting my friends’ front hair, I gave up. Haha. A doctor was another dream too. But I couldn’t study well so I gave up. Haha”
She also said she dreamed of becoming a doctor at one point as well. According to her, she just couldn’t understand the materials while studying and called it quits.
She dreamed of becoming a professional basketball player but before she could even attempt trying on this one, she gave up because she stopped growing.
“I also dreamed of becoming a basketball player. But I gave up on that too because I wouldn’t grow any taller. Being president of South Korea was never a dream though. What’s the point in dreaming for something you’ll never become?”
