Estimate Of How Much Profit Each Wanna One Member Will Earn After Disbanding
It’s been a successful run for K-Pop idol group Wanna One as they’ve been one of the scene’s hottest idol group ever since their debut.
And as reported previously, the idol group is scheduled to disband by the end of 2018.
Given their tremendous popularity and success, it’s worth wondering just how much profit that they will be taking home once they disband.
According to South Korean news agency Sports Seoul, the idol group is estimated to gross over $70.8 million by the time they disband. Considering the fact that they have only been active for a total of one year and six months, it is most definitely impressive how they managed to rake in so much in so little time.
Taking the net profit of $38.9 million into account, paying off 25% to CJ E&M, 25% to Swing Entertainment, and the remaining 50% to each members and their agency, Wanna One members would receive somewhere around $88,500, while some would make more depending on their contracts.
In cases like Kim JaeHwan, who is currently not under an official agency, an estimate of $1.9 million would be how much he may be raking in.
And although the group disbands in 2018, the agencies and individual members can also expect to continue receive earnings throughout 2019 as well.
