CIX's debut is one of the most anticipated debuts of 2019. Mainly because members from this boy group under C9 Entertainment are well known by their fans even before their official debut today, July 24.
Many would recall Bae JinYoung from Wanna One as well as BX and SeungHun who had previously appeared on V-Live "YG Treasure Box".
Kpopmap was invited to attend CIX "HELLO" Chapter 1. [Hello, Stranger] media showcase and our editor was surprised by the large venue that C9 Entertainment had reserved!
Opening the showcase with their introduction, CIX greeted for the very first time as a group in front of the journalists with positive energy. All of them were wearing their best smiles and introduced themselves one by one.

Before performing to their title track 'Movie Star' for the very first time, the MV of 'Movie Star' was played. If you have yet to check it out, you can do so below!

Taking a breather after the charismatic performance of 'Movie Star', it was time to sit down and answer some of the burning questions journalists had for CIX.
It began with questions that were related to their debut album.
Seeing how high quality this album was one journalist asked about the process of this album. BX gladly shared that since the start of December 2018, it had taken them about 7 to 8 months to complete it. Although it took them a while, all of them are pleased with the final result.
Perhaps that is why we can see that the tracks included are of such high quality!

When one journalist asked about releasing self-composed tracks, BX revealed that he has plans to do so but only until when he and the rest of the members are ready. He felt that he is still lacking in many areas and will only consider releasing them later on.
In addition, for the debut album, they had collaborated with various respectable and talented producers. One asked if there was any interesting episodes which they were willing to share during the making of the album.

BX said that since the music was slightly different from what they have been doing all along, it was fresh and a new experience for him. Needless to say, the members also shared that when they were recording the tracks, they also had fun trying to tease each other by singing each other's parts!
Continuing, Bae JinYoung also shared that he also has plans of returning with a cute concept but as of now, he just wanted to try out a more mature and manly concept.

Since it is also the day when they finally debut as a rookie group, journalists also did not forget to ask if anyone from their company or Wanna One members had contacted them.
Bae JinYoung mentioned that NU'EST's MinHyun had actually called him the other day and congratulated him on his debut. He mentioned that MinHyun also gave him advice and assured him that he will definitely do well too. With that, he felt even more thankful!

Finally when asked about their future goals, CIX shyly revealed that they were hoping to be able to receive the rookie award during end of the year award ceremonies.
We are sure with such positive response from the public and fans for their debut, they are definitely in line to receive the rookie award.
