Exclusive Review: ITZY Kicks Start "Premiere Showcase Tour “ITZY? ITZY!” In Los Angeles

On Friday evening, fans gathered in Los Angeles to see one of JYP Entertainment's hottest artists, ITZY. The kickoff to the US Showcase Tour brought by SubKulture Entertainment introduced fans to members YeJi, Lia, RyuJin, ChaeRyong, and YuNa. The energy was electric as they performed their opening song 'ICY', followed by 'IT'z Summer'. It was so fun watching their show because they really got the crowd involved with their show.

After their opening songs, the members took to the stage for a segment called "Question? ITZY!". This was by far one of my favorite parts of the showcase because it really provided an opportunity for the group to interact with their fans in the audience. They answered questions from fans and spoke about themselves. It was a great way for the audience to get to know them and for the members to showcase their personalities.

They also had to mimic different emojis that were flashed on the screen (which was hilarious) and after that they had to listen to a mashup of 3 random songs at a time and had to figure out which 3 songs were being played. RyuJin and ChaeRyong were by far the best at this game. Then they played "Whisper" where they had to put on headphones (so they couldn't hear anything), and had to guess the word.

It would start off with member seeing the word that was written down and then she would say the word and the next member would try to figure out the word by reading her lips. It was really funny. What I loved most was seeing all of the members interacting with one another--you can tell that they genuinely get along and that translates through to their performances.

ITZY also did a great job performing covers of 'TT' by TWICEand 'Hard Carry' by GOT7. They finished the evening by performing their hit songs 'Cherry', 'Want It', and my personal favorite, 'Dalla Dalla'.

I had such a great time at their showcase. If their opening date in Los Angeles is any indication of how the rest of their tour will go, then they are going to gain a lot of new fans and audiences are definitely in for a treat!
