Exclusive Review: Nu'est W New Album "WAKE,N" Press Showcase

On November 26th, Nu'est W made their 3rd comeback with their new album “WAKE,N”. Kpopmap was gladly invited to the exclusive press showcase and happy to be able to witness the stages of their title track 'Help Me' and also 'L.I.E'.

Before entering the showcase venue, Kpopmap was presented with a signed album of “WAKE,N”! We would like to give our thanks once again to Nu'est W.

After a short waiting time, the showcase began with a video of the members and soon enough, they came on stage to greet those who were present with bright smiles.

The 4 charismatic boys took over the stage and performed their new title track 'Help Me'.

After the powerful and emotional performance, they sat down and talked about their new album as well as their plans on future activities.

BaekHo explained that for their new album, there are two meanings which they are trying to express. One of them being wakened up from sleep and the other one being wakened up from their emotions. Since there are also solo tracks by each of the members, he shared that the solo tracks focused more on the wakening of emotions whereas 'Help Me' and 'L.I.E' focused more on the former.

When asked about if there was any interesting episodes during the production of this new album, Aron shared shyly that there was a time while filming for the MV that they had to jump on trampoline. Since he was afraid, he was not able to jump really high. However, on the other hand, BaekHo was having a great time jumping up and down which caused him to earn the nickname 'grass-ho-pper'.

Despite the competitive comeback in the month of November, leader JR revealed that he was actually not pressurized by the stiff competition but rather focused on completing the promotional activities without any injuries. He also revealed that he is always honored to be able to promote alongside with many artists and would love to learn from them too.

They were also asked about their future plans as it is expected that Hwang MinHyun will be returning to the group after completing his activities with Wanna One. However, JR commented that they were unable to confirm anything as nothing has been discussed yet.

Finally, the boys were also asked if they would be doing anything if they were to win number one on music show. Previously, it was noted that they had dressed up as different characters which caused many to burst out laughing.

This time they shared that they would dress up in an even more unconventional and shocking way which caused many to wonder what kind of outfits they would be putting on the next time.
