In Coppell, a suburb of Dallas, WEVE were congregating to see their favorite band. People from Dallas know that this is an unexpecting place for them to play, but the fans were very excited for the change of scenery from the norm and soon enough, it was time to hear the guitars hum, the bass thump, the keys depress, the drum beat and the vocals enlighten the soul.

They started the show with ‘Rain to Be,’ ‘End of Spring’ and ‘OFF ROAD’. DongMyeong mentioned that Gayle, famous for the song “ABCDEFU”, was from Plano and proceeded to do a small part of his cover of that song that he released back in 2023. This prompted him to apologize to the audience because “we just met and I’m cursing at you”. They performed ‘EVILDOER,’ ‘Meteor Shower,’ and ‘Kiss in the Rain’ before doing covers of The Chainsmokers’ ‘Closer’ and Maroon 5’s ‘Lucky Strike.’ They also showcased Regulus, ‘In Course’ & ‘Gravity,’ ‘The Starry Night,’ and ‘Veronica’ before ending with ‘Crazy Good,’ ‘Pleasant’ and ‘Eraser.’

Even though DongMyeong mentioned that since this is their 13th show on this tour, they’re running low on energy, no one noticed at all. He said that the audience is giving the energy back, which has to be true because the only thing they showed the audience was the utmost raw talent, passion and love for both music and their WEVE.

It’s pretty rare for Korean bands to tour the United States, assumingly because of the cost of transportation of equipment as well as the members. It does seem like it’s a risk companies are willing to take now considering the lengthy tours for a few K-Bands later this year and I hope this is a trend that continues. ONEWE is proof that this works as they have sold out most of their concerts and I hope they are able to tour again very soon. Not to say one is better than the other, but bands do bring a different energy than idol groups and I feel like everyone would experience both as many times as possible.
