Exclusive Review: 2023 Head In The Clouds (HITC) Festival In LA Ends On A Sky-High Note

"Head in the Clouds Festival" (also known as HITC Festival) is an Asian Music festival that celebrates Asian music, food, and culture and brings people from all over the world to attend.

It's been five years since the festival first occurred and I can easily say that this year's date was one of the biggest ever! From music icons DPR LIVE & DPR IAN, GOT7's Jackson Wang, NIKI, BAEK YERIN, XG, and many others, to food vendors who are a staple of tasty eats, and everything in between, there was no time to be bored.

The highly anticipated 88rising and Guess collaboration brought a breath of fresh air with their tennis/university-inspired sets and fans to cool down at the pop-up that they were hosting; the aesthetically pleasing and matching quality clothes are something I always look forward to and will continue to do so!

No matter where you go during the festival it's always full of people enjoying themselves whether it's at the 'Honda Double Happiness Stage', 'Eternal Energy Dance Tent', or the '88 Stage'.

The main '88 Stage' was by far one of the most powerful performances ever with the first day closing with huge acts like DPR LIVE & DPR IAN, RICH BRIAN, and GOT7's Jackson Wang. Not knowing the language that the song is in never seems to be a problem with fan bases and supporters as strong as the ones 88rising has.

The 'Honda Double Happiness Stage' had artists like Spence Lee, Zior Park, Grentperez, EYEDRESS, and Voice of Baceprot (VoB) performing, which easily shook the ground with the crowd's energy towards these underdog faves. From chill music to vibe to lyn lapid you can wait for the next artist like Voice of Baceprot and get a completely different sound! The way that 88rising organizes the set times lets the crowd relax while also giving them the energy to headbang for days on end, is such a refreshing way to progressively bring each stage to an end worth remembering until next year's date.

Last but not least, the 'Eternal Energy Dance Tent' presented by AT&T had a club-like energy for all ages to enjoy house music and some much-needed air conditioning, which was what you wanted, for a bit!  Artists TOKiMONSTA, BEAUZ, josh pan, and Autograf raised the roof like everyone expected, really bringing eternal energy to each person inside.

The food had a lineup just as brilliant as the performers with vendors such as 626 Night Market, Shake Ramen, Tao’s Bao, and WaffleLand for the fourth year in a row; never changing in the best ways possible! As if that wasn't enough, 88rising decided to cater to everyone's hopes and dreams by having a Boba Market with many boba vendors all with different drinks!

        Head In The Clouds

No matter how you look at it, good music and food are hard to find recently, especially gathered all together, but when at a festival like "Head in the Clouds", every problem seems to float away into the clouds.
