Q1. Congratulations on your comeback with your 9th mini-album, DEAR. N9NE! Tell us what TEEN TOP hopes the fans would take on from this album!
C.A.P: "I hope this album can revitalize the listeners who are exhausted in life."
ChunJi: "I want people to feel the bursting energy from our songs and get hyped!"
Niel: "I hope the listeners can feel happiness!"
Ricky: "While they’re listening to our music for 3 minutes, I hope they would purely enjoy and not think about anything else."
ChangJo: "I wish they can see and enjoy the numerous changes we have made for this album such as appearance, concept, style, and choreography."
Q2. ChangJo, there are three tracks that you have produced for this album, can you share us what inspires you when you are composing?
ChangJo: "Normally, I get my muse from various kinds of people’s stories they share, and also from media."
Q3. What’s is No.1 pick track from DEAR. N9NE?
C.A.P&ChunJi: "Happy Ending is our favorite, it’s the melody."
Niel: "My favorite is 'That Night'. I love these kinds of styled songs."
Ricky: "I’d pick 'Swag'. It’s such an exciting song!"
ChangJo: "'That Night' is my favorite. It’s a perfect song to listen to when the weather is gloomy."
Q4. Do you have a particular artist that you want to collaborate with in the future? If so, why?
C.A.P: "I want to collaborate with BiBi. I like the lyrics from the songs she wrote."
ChunJi: "Since I’ve been listening to a lot of indie music lately, I would love to try new things with indie musicians."
Niel: "I would like to collaborate with other musicians if I get a chance to do it but currently I’m more focused on perfecting TEEN TOP!"
Ricky: "Like most of the artist, I want to collaborate with IU."
ChangJo: "Recently I’ve been enjoying Ella Mai’s music and it would be great if I get a chance to collaborate with her."
Q5. Before the comeback, all the members have been busy with individual works. When did you miss each other the most?
C.A.P: When I would be at home alone late at night, I think about our members a lot.
ChunJi: "I miss them the most when I’m the only one at the place of work."
Niel: "When I’m on the move to my next schedule, going alone was kind of hard for me."
Ricky: "I was in Japan for the musical show, which was really tough and I missed our members every moment."
ChangJo: "We had a long gap without any release and I think that’s when I missed them the most."
Q6. Since DEAR. N9NE has a lot of summer taste in it, do you have a special activity that you want to try this summer?
C.A.P: "I’d prefer to be in a cool place like Alaska where I can avoid the heat."
ChunJi: "Any place with a cool breeze where I can relax and rest would be amazing."
Niel: "I want to try scuba diving this summer!"
Ricky: "I love being in the waters, so I would love any sort of activities that can be done involves water."
ChangJo: "I want to take a rest at my place and nowhere else. As many says, there’s no place like home."
Q7. Any new hobbies you are hooked into lately?
C.A.P: "I used to draw a lot which I have put to pause for a while but I’m starting to pick it up again recently."
ChunJi: "I haven’t found any new hobbies yet but I’m open for suggestions!"
Niel: "I enjoy playing games."
Ricky: "I love swimming! It feels really good when you push the water as you make your stroke."
ChangJo: "My hobby is collecting car figurines."
Q8. TEEN TOP is one of the few groups that’s been together for almost 10 years, what is some advice you would like to give to the rookie or junior groups?
C.A.P: "My advice is to look closely at your surroundings."
ChunJi: "I actually learn a lot from junior artists. FIGHTING everyone!"
Niel: "I hope everyone finds happiness in their own ways."
Ricky: "Embrace and enjoy every single work you do!"
ChangJo: "The change in trends is so rapid these days, so I recommend everyone to constantly study culture and music which I’m sure will be helpful for their future."
Q9. Do you have any artists that you are close with, besides TEEN TOP members?
C.A.P&Niel: "I’m close with Park Kyung from Block B."
ChunJi: "HyukJin and ChanYong from 100% and actor Park DongMin!"
Ricky: "I’m friends with BtoB SungJae, YoungMin, GwangMin, MinWoo from Boyfriend and JBJ95, Kenta."
ChangJo: "I’m glad that I’ve become friends with AB6IX DongHyun!"
Q10. Do you have any special stage or an event that you guys have prepared for ‘TEEN TOP PARTY TO.N9NE’ concert?
C.A.P: "We are planning on performing previous solo songs for this concert!"
ChunJi: "We have prepared a lot for this concert including solo stages and also all the songs from our latest album, ‘DEAR. N9NE’."
Niel: "It’s the solo performances that fans can look forward to! Hope the audience enjoys them!"
Ricky: "The concert is filled with fun, entertaining stages where everyone can enjoy it."
ChangJo: "C.A.P and I are preparing for a collaboration stage!"
Q11. Is TEEN TOP planning on an international tour? If so, where do you want to visit?
C.A.P: "We do have a European tour planned out! I would love to see Milano during our tour!"
ChunJi: "I want to go back to every countries and cities that we have toured in the past!"
Niel: "I want to travel to every country in the world!!"
Ricky: "I’ve been always wanting to visit Swiss. And Swiss is part of our Euro tour! I’m so excited."
ChangJo: "In the future, I would like to visit South American countries like Brazil!"
Q12. 2020 is a special year for TEEN TOP as it marks the 10th Anniversary of TEEN TOP! Is there anything you want to do with your global Angels?
C.A.P&ChunJi&Niel: "We haven’t come up with specifics but we’re working on it! Once we have decided we’ll let our Angels know!"
Ricky: "If there’s anything that we can do with our Angels? I’d do everything!"
ChangJo: "I want to prepare for a solo album for the first time in 2020 and perform in front of our Angels!"
Q13. For K-Pop fan who has just found out about TEEN TOP, what would you recommend them to listen first?
ALL: "'장난아냐(Rocking)' is definitely our recommendation that will hook our global fans! The song is such a fun, exciting song that will get you addicted in a heartbeat!"
Q14. Want to say anything for your global fans?
C.A.P: "I would like to thank each and every global Angels for their support and for those who don’t know us yet, I hope you could get to know us more in the future!"
ChunJi: "We are seeking to meet every one of you so hope you guys look forward to it!"
