On July 27th, EXID's SolJi shared good news with her fans that she has recovered from hyperthyroidism through an interview with Star News.
It was reported that back in January this year, SolJi underwent orbital decompression and has been putting in efforts in recovering her health.
On August 22nd, EXID will debut in Japan with their debut album "UP & DOWN". It was also revealed that SolJi had participated and completed the photoshoot for their album jacket.
However, it is still unsure as to whether SolJi will be taking part in the promotion activities or not.
According to their agency, they commented that it is true that SolJi has regained her health but they still have to be careful as there is a high chance of relapse for hyperthyroidism. It is unlikely that they could make a decision now but most probably they would have the answer by the beginning of August.
Previously, SolJi was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism back in December 2016. Since then, she had stopped all promotions and focused on her health. EXID has been promoting as a 4-member group for the time being.
For EXID's fourth mini album "Full Moon", SolJi participated in the recording for the songs and showed her will to return. Although fans were unable to see her on stage, they were happy that they could at least hear her voice.
After the surgery, SolJi also made an effort to communicate with fans through V-Live sessions.
We wish SolJi all the best!
