Dance has always play a huge role in K-Pop and there are so many talented dancers among K-Pop idols. Sometimes they receive the opportunity to showcase their dance skills through solo stages or even special dance covers.

Kpopmap thought that it would be interesting to feature and highlight some of the K-Pop idols out there who has not been receiving enough attention for their dancing skills.

On Jan. 11, VICTONhad made their long awaited comeback with their 1st ever full length album "VOICE: The future is now" and title track 'What I Said'. If you have yet to check out their music video, you can do so below.

'What I Said' is an upbeat and catchy Latin pop track and the choreography this time is also no joke.

Main dancer, Chan, has caught the eyes of many with his powerful and well executed movements. Thanks to his appearance recently on MBC "The King of Mask Singer", many took note of his deep voice and of course, his potential to rise as a star.

Chan had previously graduated from Hanlim Multi Art School and is one of the 4 legendary male K-Pop idols from the 3rd batch of dance major. It was said that his specialty is choreographing which suggests why he is quick on picking up new dance steps.

After his debut as a member of VICTON back in 2016, Chan had showed off his dance skills in many different occasions.

One of the memorable moment was none other than "DANCE WAR" during the "Melon Music Awards 2018 (MMA)" where he was part of the blue team.

Back then, many fans were commenting on how the idol deserves even more recognition and we could not help but agree too. You might not have noticed but the way he controls his strength while dancing is another level.

When VICTON had made their comeback with "Nostalgia" in 2019, they had also guested on "Idol Radio".

During the dance medley, Chan had covered SHINee's TaeMin 'Goodbye'. It is a difficult choreography but you can clearly see how he managed to cover the details of the dance steps.

From his arms to the tips of his fingers, the strength that he had put it is astonishing. Interestingly, it is also not the first time which he had covered this song.

Even earlier in July 2019, Chan had uploaded a longer version of the dance on their official Twitter account. Although we could not clearly see his face, the emotions which he wanted to express had definitely transcended through the screen.

At the start of 2020, Chan had the opportunity to perform to 'Eyes on you'. It is a song which he had written and composed during their 1st ever concert "New World".

Keywords such as 'all-rounder', 'talented dancer' and so on were left by fans online. They noticed through the solo stage, Chan had proved and defined his style of music which he likes and pursues.

Perhaps it was the fact Chan had composed to 'Eyes on you', there was just something different about the way which he performed to it. We can only say that with the addition of the choreography, it was one of the best stages by Chan to date.

'Howling' and 'Mayday' were some of the comebacks which VICTON had done in 2020 and in those two comebacks, Chan had shown once again that he is a very powerful yet detailed dancer.

On the appearance of SBS "Shindong Gayo", Chan had taught SUPER JUNIOR's ShinDong the key points of 'Howling'. You can check out the moment at 9:35 of the video.

It was then when many could see Chan's attention to detail as well as his execution of dance steps effortlessly.

On this Jan. 11, VICTON had made comeback through Mnet "Comeback Show" by performing to 'What I Said' as well as their b-side tracks 'Flip A Coin', 'Circle' and 'We Stay'.

In the stages which required dancing, Chan did not let his name down as the main dancer as the group.

His dance lines are no joke and it is incredible that he knows when to loosen and tighten the strength required in the choreography.

In the weeks to come, Chan and the rest of VICTON members will be promoting their title track on various music shows.

While many of his fans are hoping that he would be recognised by even more, we also wonder just how much Chan will continue to grow and develop as an artist.

Feel free to share we us what you think about this series and who we should feature next!
