FAB FASHION FRIDAY: The Perfect Ruffles & Frill for the Blossoming Spring
Spring means it’s time to go watch the beautiful flowers blossom in full swing! What better outfit to celebrate than with ruffles and frills?
Ruffles aren’t just for pirates anymore, and neither are frills for little girls back in the 80’s! Korean fashion is back in full cycle for ruffles and frills this Spring. The top stylists and fashionistas are flaring out in these beautiful designs and patterns. Here’re all the styling tips and suggestions you’ll need to slay the ruffles and frill for your flower-watching date this season!
The flowers are blossoming so beautiful already, but I have nothing to fit the mood!
That’s where our favorite fashionistas Sulli, HyoSung, SoMi and HyunA came to the rescue. As I was perusing around for my awe-inspiring fashion muse, these four ladies came to my aid with this beautiful use of ruffles and frills. This design may have been considered old fashioned, but with modern fashion techniques, they’re totally back in store in the cutest fashion!
As I live by a code, I was even more ecstatic when I found my BLACKPiINK girls wearing frills and ruffles in the most Spring-friendly fashion available! What else would be expect from the fashion forward girl group of 2017?
I need my ruffles and frills~!
I went to my go-to site, SSF Shop for some great piece featuring modern-classic ruffles and frills. My three favorite pieces was an all-over floral top in sheer fabric, a semi-off-shoulder top with basic ruffles, and a cute checkered top with ruffles flowing down the front.
I couldn’t stop there. I went on my search to discover some great one-piece pieces too. SSF Shop featured a G-Dragon approved abstract one piece in cool turquoise, a classic one piece with frill layering, and a cami one-piece that would be perfect to mix and match with various shirts.
You like, yes?
I gave these beautiful pieces a little styling of my own to fit my upcoming flower-watching outtings~ First, the pink ruffle top goes well with a scallop navy skirt, paired with a baby pink bag and sandal-heels. For the sporty tomboy in me, I paired the G-Dragon-picked ruffle dress with a classic white bag, trendy horn-rimmed sunglasses, and Adidas Original’s new canvas sneaker.
Now all that’s left is to enjoy the beautiful Spring flowers blossom.
