One of the best things that could ever happen to your favorite K-Pop idols is to receive birthday ads on subway, bus stations and even in the cinema!
It was noted that X1 ‘s Lee HanGyul is going to celebrate his 21st birthday (Korean age) on Dec. 7 and his fans had come together to put up a special cinema project.
However, things did not go as what they had expected as the project was rejected with disappointing news.
Fans in charged of the project had put up a notice and mentioned that the cinema had rejected the project they had initially planned out. On Nov. 11, the cinema had contacted the fans and explained that they were unable to proceed the project. Many were assuming it was due to the happenings with Mnet “Produce” series.
Disappointed but still not giving up, the fans had contacted two other cinemas but received the same response.
With that being said, the fans had decided to let go of the cinema event and come up with something even more special to celebrate Lee HanGyul’s birthday.
Fans who had seen the announcement was baffled and shocked as most of the time, cinemas do not reject such birthday projects. Adding on, some were also furious at how the blame was all falling on the idols who had debuted through Mnet “Produce” series as many believe they were not the one to be blamed.
Birthday supports and events are meant to celebrate the love fans have for their favorite K-Pop idols and it is a pity to see something unfortunate like this happen.
We hope that Lee HanGyul fans would be able to put the funded money into even better use!
