BIGBANG fans are currently blowing up on the internet because they just discovered that SeungRi has to wait for his turn to use the recording studio, until the junior idols are finished recording.
And it’s definitely been angering fans even more so because it was just a few weeks ago that they also discovered that YG Entertainment CEO Yang HyunSuk wasn’t supporting the idol on his tour with backup dancers or stylists. SeungRi ended up apologizing to Yang HyunSuk for talking about it during a performance.
However, SeungRi seems to have accidentally spoken about the recording booth situation this time in Tokyo, and may have to apologize again to Yang HyunSuk.
Below is how fans have been reacting so far.
The irony of all this too is that international fans seem to be conforming to South Korea’s problematic culture of ageism very naturally.
One would think that a fair way of using a recording studio booth would depend on who books it first, rather than who is older or more talented. Instead, the current fan buzz indicates that there are two major problems at hand currently, one involving the junior-senior culture that gives absolute advantage to the latter and the other being the discrimination based on who is the more profitable idol, something that YG should address if it actually exists.
How do you feel about how the fans are reacting at the moment?
