In an industry that's filled to the brim with incredible talent, many K-Pop groups choose to release numerous mini-albums or singles. This is due to many factors such as production cost or even just creating more opportunities to communicate with fans. This is why it's such a big deal when a group decides to release a full-length album.

To the excitement of ZENITH worldwide, EPEX makes their return to the music stage with their very first full-length album, "Youth Chapter 1: YOUTH DAYS". Not only is it making a buzz among fans, but even non-fans are tuning in, celebrating the boy group's momentous milestone. After a series of beloved singles and EPs, the C9 Entertainment boy group is embarking on a new chapter in their career, bringing their supportive fans along on the ride. While they've still managed to retain their core, boyish charms, EPEX return with newfound maturity both as individuals and as artists.

There's many reasons why this album is special, to both their supporters and EPEX themselves, causing thousands to groove along and shower the idol group with praise.

One interesting tidbit about the idol group is that "Youth Chapter 1: YOUTH DAYS" marks the first release with all members as full-fledged adults. This fact alone makes this album particularly special, as the idols looked back on their experiences to provide both comfort and excitement through their music. And certainly, you can feel the vitamin-like energy resonating from not only the melody, but from the lyrics of the tracks. Even those older in age can resonate with EPEX's new release, reminded of the bright, passionate days of their own youthful experience.

 

Accumulation Of Different Genres

Considering their focus, the album does follow a cohesive theme of 'youth' becoming a beacon of hope for listeners far and wide. But being their first full-length album, EPEX does well not to remain restricted by a singular genre. They incorporate everything from lighthearted pop, subtle rock undertones, and the anthem-like vibe of the title track. With these complementing styles and EPEX's innate musical talent, it makes it easy to have this album on loop all day long. If the top spot of music charts and music show wins were in the idol group's sight, "Youth Chapter 1: YOUTH DAYS" is definitely a step in the right direction.

 

Exciting Three Part Series

With an album title that includes the words "Chapter 1", it wouldn't be wrong to expect even more installments to be released in the future. And thankfully for fans, it's confirmed that this is just one part of a three-segment series that will focus on various keywords and concepts. In the case of "Youth Chapter 1: YOUTH DAYS", EPEX has revealed that this chapter's keyword is 'secret'. While one's youth can often be seen as a carefree, joyous period of life, even the most bright-eyed individuals hold a well-guarded secret in their heart.

From hidden pain, lost love, and even familial issues, there's no going around that even a sunshine-like youth has their fair share of secrets. With such a meaningful and interesting keyword, fans can look forward to the idol group's future releases and how they will continue to evolve as artists moving forward. It was revealed that the second album in the series will focus on 'choice', with the third being a well-guarded secret. It seems EPEX have it all planned out and we can't wait to hear it.

For now, it seems appropriate to have EPEX's 1st full-length album on constant loop.
