        Fans Try To Debunk aespa's AI Concept, What They Have Figured Out So Far

        SM Entertainment has big plans for their upcoming girl group, aespa but fans are struggling to keep up with the AI concept.

        aespais probably one of the most talked about topics among K-Pop fans as their debut is set to happen on Nov. 17 with the release of their debut single 'Black Mamba'.

        aespa came from the words 'avatar', 'experience' and 'aspect', with the meaning of 'being able to experience a new world through another avatar of yourself'. This would suggest that the 4 members, Winter, Karina, NingNing and Giselle, will have their own AI characters.

        Many had also noticed how their concept photos are mystical and with similar vibes to the movie 'Avatar'.

        Previously, the AI character of Karina, ae-Karina, was introduced to K-Pop fans.

        While it does seem like a fresh and innovative to come up with such interesting concept, not all the fans are quite sure what the concept aespa is trying to do.

        Founder of SM Entertainment, Lee SooMan, shared that he had envisioned the future as one with celebrities as well as robots. Through the AI technology, customized avatars will be part of people's lives and they will live together with them. These avatars could become your favourite K-Pop idol and interact with you in a way the real idol could not.

        In the latest teaser released by aespa official Twitter account, they mentioned that the aespa members are also able to communicate with their virtual selves (living in the aespa universe) through 'SYNK'.

        No one really knows what 'SYNK' refers to and K-Pop fans are guessing a mobile app, a website or even a new media platform which SM Entertainment had developed.

        Through the gathering of information by fans and releases by SM Entertainment, one thing for sure is that, aespa members will be performing with AI members in the future. Some similar examples would be those of virtual K-Pop group, K/DA.

        Another AI concept which has been catching the attention of many is none other than AleXa's. For her past few comebacks, many of her fans loved the fact that she has her own unique AI and gaming concept that is rarely seen in the K-Pop community.

        Lee SooMan also shared that these AI members will also be able to become close with the real members as if they are close friends. They will also be able to enter and go into each other's worlds.

        Perhaps it is because the full concept and plans that Lee SooMan has for aespa are not fully released, K-Pop fans are trying to best to understand how the system of aespa works.

        Some also shared their concern, mentioning that the idea of an AI K-Pop idol seems strange and found it hard to accept. Others were unsure of the concept and would take a look again once aespa made their debut.
